Couple quits job and travel the world in boat

Does a flight from Atlanta, GA > Columbia, South Carolina > Charlotte, North Carolina > Nashville, TN > Dallas, TX > Seattle all count as "trips"? If so, i'm a globetrotting Jetsetter, B!

 this thread is so derailed.

Point is it's awesome to ditch the rat race for a while and see the world/do what makes you happy.

I applaud these two.

You barley courty-trotting, much less globetrotting.

lots of people doing stuff like this, maybe not by boat but expeditionportal forum is filled with people driving from alaska to south america and stuff like that.

Kodus for them. I'm not for these random jobs they are doing just to say I'm still on my honeymoon.

Agreed such a vulgar exhibition of white privilege, can't get more blatant than this, how dare they...

The fact that you make such a sarcastic statement is even more telling of white privilege than anything else. Your literally upset that people are criticizing what white people do in their free time. Instead of wondering why many white americans have this leisure while others do not, you harp on the sentiments from people who have been historically disenfranchised.

An ignorant person would say these are things white people do but instead they should be saying that this is what privileged persons do. Unfortunately there isn't an large representation of wealthy black, Asians ,Latinos etc but best believe the minorities with money are doing the same.

One of my journeymen I've been working with hasn't stayed in a place for over 2 years since he was 23. Traveled all around the US working on all kinds of cool and big jobs. He's seen just about every state. He has stories of his experiences in different cities, it's so cool. I wouldn't mind doing something like that.

I would love to just quit my job and travel forever but gotta think ahead of time man.. sooner or later I'ma need cash... ima be 40... with no apt no stability because I decided to travel my whole life....

Dude's foolish posts in here are funny. 12 trips a year isn't common and would be difficult to do. My friends who travel a lot are nurses and make good money. One of them is going to Africa in a few months for her 30th birthday to climb some mountain. She asked our group of friends to go but our finances won't let use spend $4-5k for the trip. She went to New Zealand recently too.
