dam I need a cut in the next couple days and my barber fell off. I made the mistake of going to the new guy one week and ain't been the same since

now I can't help but wanna go to the new guy but my barber always got a dam empty chair and always has it ready for me it seems when I come in ...

New guy's lines are sharper, he's faster, shave don't hurt, but his lines are longer and I hate that I'm makin the old dude feel bad :smh:

how do the youngsters on NT handle this, i know i'm gonna get clowned and the obvious answer but I know some of u have had this problem ...

Some of you take this barber stuff too seriously. I just go to whoever's chair is open at the shop I go to. Only person I avoid is the young guy, dude can't blend at all.

Whenever I go to the barber I pray that the guy next to him is free so I can go to him. He's way better but I don't want to break my barbers heart.

at least i ain't the only one

my barber is a cool dude, just a lil older than any of the young cats in the shop. his skills just ain't the same, dude's lines especially are what's pissing me off the most. used to be sharp as hell for days, now i'm gettin one day if that.

i take a shower after the cut and it seems like it washes away now

or do i gotta start gettin my just for men on :\

I went through the same thing. The girl I was going to was the owner. All of a sudden her cuts just weren't doing it. So I started going to the girl in the chair right next to her. Not going to lie, the first time when I walked in and she obviously assumed I was going to get my cut with her and I give her the "Oh, I'm going to wait for her" look was the worse. She had been cutting my hair for about 8 years. After the first time, it was no big deal. I think she got over it.

when my barber went ghost and i didn't like the way the other dudes in the shop took care of me i started cutting my own hair. haven't been to a barbershop in over 5 years.

Nope. I'm Asian and go to the neighborhood shop. The barbers are Russian Jews.

This, no one couldn't do it right. So I said eff it, and learned how to do it myself

The talk of breaking your barber's heart does sound kind of ridiculous though.

in my shop it's like a blood pact. you get one barber and one barber only...unless its some dire emergency.

Black people's hair are the easiest to do. Get a pair of electric clippers and do it yourself.

I do feel bad about cheating on my barber at times until I look in the mirror after the and the regret stops

Lol what? No no no this is not true at all.

Op what I did when this happened was I just started going somewhere else. My brother defected first and I kept going to the old barber who would always ask where my brother was and I would have to make up some story and then coming home to see him with a much better haircut than I. One day I just got fed up and never went back.

Thankfully my barber is solid. Other guys in the shop give better cuts (I've gone to all three barbers before) but my go-to doesn't really ever have a wait and he cuts just fine for what I get done.
