OFFICIAL 2015 FANTASY FOOTBALL THREAD

Also remember that other team defenses will start game planning him as a number one receiver where as last year he was still number 2 behind Vincent Jackson as far as game planning by other defenses. Not saying he will be a bust but it will be very hard to duplicate his numbers of last year. He is still worth owning at a certain point in the draft but not as high as a third round pick like he has been going

I think you all are being rough on Hopkins.. He wil excel in that offense.. Same that could be said for Evans could be said for Hopkins last year.. Terrible QB play, great #s.. but to each his own, thats what makes fantasy exciting..

He is the only guy you have to check on offense with Foster out

QB and RB are trash

Super talented but in a bad situation

All you can go by in fantasy is logical decisions. Some are right some are wrong. Give a reason why you think he will be a solid number 2 wide receiver. Is it quarterback play? Does she have another wide receiver to take the pressure off him? Are there other offensive weapons at houston to take the pressure off? Do you want to use a 4th or 5th round pick to get him when there are other options that seem to be more safe. These are questions that need to be answered

I been mocking from every draft position in a 12 team league, feels good to know that I'll be ready

When I won last year I felt it was more luck than anything but this year I'm way more prepared than last

This is how I feel

Won't be on any of my teams

Evans should be ok but I would still keep an eye on Winston during the preseason

Hopkins is going to be a headache

I'm not touching him in any of my drafts
As of late i've been taking Jordan Matthews over Hopkins in round 3, I feel he will have low end wr1 numbers by year's end.
Not a bad idea to go out and schoop Agholor too if you have Matthews... One of those wrs will eat
gonna be one of my targets come draft day

last i read he was getting plenty of first team reps too

I have a feeling my WR2 will come down to Cobb, Sanders, Cooks or Matthews...how would you guys rank them in PPR?

That's how I would rank them too...I ******* haaate that we're doing our draft this year the day of the 2nd week of preseason games though. Sanders has been out with a hamstring injury and Cobb and Cooks are both guys who have had injury concerns in the past.

I'm gonna employ a Zero-RB strategy in one of my leagues this year. Really like how some of my teams pan out when I try it in mocks. Hopefully it pans out in a real draft .

I sorta did this. No rbs till rd 4 in my both my $ leagues so far.

Cant believe this is happening to Cam. He jus went from fringe top 10 to bottom of the barrel. Reggie wayne :x

I posted one. My backs ended up being alfred morris (4rd) carlos hyde (5th or 6th cant remember) then around 9/10 i snagged Arian Foster and Ameer Abdullah.

Abdullah is boosting his adp to undraftable levels with his preseason performance tho. I bet soon hell be right in there in the 60s n 70s with the Cj Spiller, Gio Bernards maybe even ahead of that.

But waiting has allowed me to either grab an elite qb or te and be loaded at WR. I jus really dont feel like too many backs are worth the gamble after the intial group.

What kinds of rosters are you ending up with where you wait on RB's?
It's all about looking at potential and banking on injuries/underperforming starters and younger breakout candidates. Here's a mock I just did, drafting from the 7th slot (took Julio 1st):

Thoughts:

Little debate that my top-4 WRs are stacked. Finished off the group with 2 high upside guys later in the draft. In a 2 or 3 WR and 1 Flex league, I should win my WR and Flex matchups mostly every week.

In round 5 the WR pool was pretty depleted so turned my attention to the RBs. I felt that the guys I was targeting were gonna last until my next picks (and they did), which is why I went with Kelce. He should be able to win me the TE matchup most weeks as well.

The first two RBs I grabbed are potential PPR mavens. Vereen and Woodhead are both only a season removed from top-15 PPR RB finishes.

My next 4 RBs are all guys in uncertain backfield situations. Cleveland's backfield is a mess, so who's to say Duke Johnson can't win that job? Same with David Cobb. We saw how Sankey fared last year, so I can easily imagine a scenario of Cobb winning that job whether it's in the preseason or during the regular season. The Arizona backfield doesn't have alot of clarity either. David Johnson is a similar athlete to the fragile Andre Ellington. He's one injury away from stepping in. Doug Martin has been a disaster in TB. Sims has a good shot at taking over that backfield. Or even just playing a 3rd down role he could become a PPR asset. The Bucs figure to be playing from behind alot this season.

With my WRs locking up my Flex spot weekly, I only need to "hit" on two of my RBs. And with the weekly domination of the WR and Flex spots, two guys in the RB20 range will be more than adequate.

Danny Woodhead is a beast in PPR but I wouldn't rely on him in standard scoring.
