OFFICIAL 2015 FANTASY FOOTBALL THREAD

Davis was my #1 priority to get  should I pick up a backup QB? Or not really?
Personally,I would just rock with Big Ben,then grab somebody off waivers for their week 11 bye...Obviously every league is different but you can usually pick up a decent QB at any time off waivers

Had my Dynasty League startup draft earlier tonight, and I hate my team . I mean it could be good in the future, but I don't think I stand a chance this year (or maybe even the next).

Tentative Starters - 2QB, 3RB, 3WR, 1TE, 2FLEX (R/W/T), 1D/ST, 1K:

It's only an 8 team league so we went with huge starting lineups/rosters. That way everyone's starters aren't stacked with studs, and there's not crazy talent all over the waiver wire.

I had 1st overall pick and went with Luck since we start 2 QBs. Veterans kept getting scooped up right before my picks so I always found myself targeting rookies or younger players with upside. Since you essentially always have to "reach" for players with the #1 draft slot, I found it oxymoronic to reach for veterans in a dynasty league :\. I took a bunch of chances on young RBs, so if they don't pan out I'm gonna have a tough time competing. I do like my WRs and QBs a lot though. I have an open bench spot since I immediately IR'ed Kelvin Benjamin so I might try and add a RB who can produce even just a little for me.

I like the Big Ben love here.

I have him on par with Rogers and Luck this year with a 2 round value lower.

will be my target this year in all leagues.

last year was Luck...

He might be my target as well,QB's go fast in my league but he's usually still around in round 3 or so and I would probably take him in that round..

I'd take Latavius Murray at 3 before I would DeMarco.

No matter how much I'd like to assume that I think that I know though, you never know.

1. Rodgers
2. Luck
3. Ben
4. Ryan/Eli
5. Bradford (sleeper)

That's how I've played this out in my head as far as who I want balanced with who I believe has value relative to where you'll see the Brady, Manning's and Brees' go (first two rounds). Of course, you'll take those guys at a certain spots, but the five I mentioned, I feel like I honestly have a better handle on in terms of their value for a later round get.

My first draft I have the 7th pick, so even though I'd love to have Ben, I could settle on waiting until the 5th or 6th round for Ryan or Eli. Obviously, if guys go QB crazy and My top 4 plus the other 3 I mentioned above are gone, I'm waiting more rounds yet to get Bradford. If that's the case, I'm almost certainly grabbing a Q back-to-back for fear Bradford gets injuired (hedging is too logical if I go this route). Romo, Rivers, Tannehill are guys I don't like as much, but will be fine with. Romo and Rivers being no-mans-land guys that I think others will grab because they're the perceived "best of the rest," thinking I can get similar value with my #4's and even Bradford and Tannehill...Bradford though with the risk of injury and Tanne of possibly not panning out, which is where the risk comes in.

I'm not touching Teddy because of homer/jinx reasons. Don't want to overthink it so it's best I personally stay away.

That doesn't fully encapsulate my thought process, I'm sure, but hopefully it makes kinda sense.

Very high on Latavius Murray. Maybe Raiders fans can chime in on his PPR value...Non-PPR, I'm probably going to be battling myself with trying not to reach, but really wanting to snag him before others get the idea to nab him.

Breaking up my posts so it's readable and not one continuous blog-fest....

My WR mindset turned funny at 4.

With PPR in mind, I have:

1. Antonio Brown
2. Dez
3. Julio
4. Golden
5. Cobb

Again, not necessarily an all-encompassing top 5, rather guys I feel very confident and comfortable taking for the long haul of a season.

6-10 is a jumbled mess of hopefuls/potential like Jordan Matthews, Cooks, Evans, Hilton (by sheer volume with Luck as Q) and Jeffery.

Value picks:

Devante Adams, Edelman (just still has that feel of being undervalued after the big guys), Keenan, Andre Johnson, Cruz, Charles Johnson and Michael Floyd.

Funchess, Stills, Agholor and Ty Montgomery as sleepers.

Have to stress that I'm leaving a lot of gaps, but just how my mind is working with this, I'm skipping a lot of the ho-hum picks like Desean, Emmanuel and Beckham only because there's something in my head that instinctively tells me to be a bit cautious.

RB's:

1. AP
2. Bell
3. Charles
4. Forte
5. Latavius Murray

Did this rank even in a PPR league because of comfort level again. Charles and Forte have burned me with injuries before and by potential workload they still make me nervous, but I can only overlook that to a point. I feel AP and Bell are there 'til the end. I've already mentioned my affinity for Murray.

Marshawn I'm staying away from. I feel like there's potential for a lot of gray area there with him dominating again to falling off quite a bit (O-line looks awful thus far, so not all on him) and everything in between. I don't like not having a handle on that. Your instincts might tell you different.

The rest after those 5 is just a mess that I still haven't fully sorted through. I like Hyde though. He's probably a definitive #6 here. I also recognized that if DeMarco is available at a certain point, I'll have to almost grab Mathews within the next few picks after because a handcuff is a must there, though I'm almost assuming someone reaches on him (a reach in my mind).

Open to comments, but just keep in mind this is a jagged representation of my thought process. Lots of wiggle room here as this is just what my instincts were telling me upon a first blush look.

No love for DeMarco in here  but picking Latavius Murray over him? I see the upside and high ceiling but dude just seems like an injury waiting to happen to me.

I remember DeMarco before last season though. He was a play away from injury every snap and he was always the type to shy away from contact even (running out of bounds after every first down hed get, leaving 5-10 yads on the field). I remember this clearly, which is why I stressed I'm putting this out there strictly on instincts.

Latavius has a style about him.

I agree with this,I'm not that high on DeMarco either,I was just saying I think a lot of people are and they will draft him early.Personally I'm not even really considering him but I've heard a lot of people say they are...I think his output will be down from last season, maybe even by a significant amount.

In competitive leagues of 12 teams you can wait until the 3rd round to get him

I do not like demarco but let's get serious, latavis in the first round is insane. Hope you are not putting up coin for this league.when he goes down in game 6 after a few good games don't say " if he stayed healthy he would be great " cause with him you know what you get. He is a poor man's Arian Foster, but when healthy foster is the best ppr rb going.some guys can't stay healthy.

i did last year.. went very smooth. All of the mobile fantasy apps worked well for mel...ESPN, YAHOO, and NFL Fantasy.... ( From my iphone btw, doubt that matters though).

I'll be on an iPhone too, Yahoo app. Almost hoping I have a later pick to avoid it though  . Always loved my laptop in front of me with some tabs open.

I've seen a lot of love for Bradford in here..

Question, in my league i have drafted so far i took Brady Late, then followed it up even later with Teddy B.. Should i drop Teddy for Bradford?
A lot of people seem sold on him so far..

Only thing is, Im a Falcons fan, his first game is MNF vs us..Not really feeling having to pull for Bradford vs my team and our new Dan Quinn Def in primetime ..
