OFFICIAL 2015 FANTASY FOOTBALL THREAD

Speaking of James Jones, not a shabby flier if you've got someone you drafted at the end of your bench you want to drop for him.

Some points.

-Career high 14 TDs with Rodgers in '12.

-Had 73 grabs and 6 TDs with a ROOKIE David Carr last season.

-Jones and Adams are actually very similar as far as build, athleticism and skill-set. Adams should be the Packers first option as the Packers X receiver in two and three wide sets. I don't think it's necessarily a hard & fast rule that Jones will be strictly regulated to being involved in only three-wide sets where he'd be playing the Z while Cobb goes inside to the slot. I can fathom Adams and Jones perhaps splitting time at the X in two-wide sets. Rodgers and Jones have a solid rapport and IMO Jones will definitely be involved in two-wide sets inside the redzone as he excels as a TD catcher. In any event, the Packers employ a base 3-wide set and Jones should see a lot of snaps either way.

I mean, at this point that's purely conjecture on my part. But having assessed Adams and Jones, it's not like Adams has much of a advantage if ANY as far as speed and acceleration goes, even with Jones at his relative advanced age. That's not a slight on Adams nor an endorsement of Jones, it's just what is. Looking at their respective combine numbers, they are relative combine numbers. Looking at the footage of Jones in Oakland vs Adams in the preseason, I still don't see much if any difference speed/athleticism wise.

I still see Adams finishing ahead of Jones on the season. But I think Jones, while being VERY TD dependent, could finish a top-36 (WR3 in 12-teamers) receiver.

A lot of folks will point out that Adams as the Packers 3rd receiver didn't come anywhere close to top-36/WR3 numbers last year fail to realize that he was a rookie and did not have the experience nor the rapport Jones enjoys with Rodgers.

For those asking wether or not Michael or Jones is the add. I'd say Jones is the better add as Michael is still considerably raw as a RB. For all his raw ability, he's lacking fundamentally and from all accounts he's essentially a depth-add. If you're in a 14-teamer, by all means stash him as he could be viable in the latter half of the season, but I don't see a lot of utility in rostering him right now. Randle/McFadden are still very much the RB's to own in Dallas, Jones is the add.

There are plenty of handcuffs with more direct paths to playing time than Christine Michael. Understand much of the perception of Michael's ability is a construct of the fantasy football hype machine. Simply put, he's just not as good as you wish he was.

Regarding TJ Yeldon.

As of right now, Denard "Shoelace" Robinson as well as TJ Yeldon are both listed as the first-team running backs on the Jaguars official depth chart.

Take that for what you will.

There was a four week stretch however last season where Robinson flashed some real feature back ability.

And the word is he's put on some muscle and is looking very much like a full-fledged NFL RB while still sporting 4.3 40 quicks.

My take? The Jaguars want to ease Yeldon in and this backfield will be a RBBC. Also, the Jaguars want to get an extended look at Robinson.

Yeldon may overtake Robinson completely and assert himself as the Jags' feature bellcow.

Or....

Robinson could come out playing well, continue to play well and force a frustrating RBBC all year long.

What would I do if I owned Yeldon? I'd roster Robinson.

But since I don't own Yeldon, I'm tempted to grab Robinson where I have space to make the add and see how this plays out.

That James Jones tweet pic  .

Dwayne Allen is still sitting in free agency, should I drop Richard Rodgers in favor of him? Jordan Cameron is my TE1. I know DA isn't at 100%, and I like Rodgers obviously with another Rodgers throwing to him.

Ty montgomery got dropped in my 12 team league.. I have Boldin, Brandon Coleman, and Garcon on my bench.. Who should i drop in order to scoop Montgomery?
Brees is my qb and Coleman intrigues me, so i kinda want to hold on to him

Im all in on Richard Rogers, i have him starting in every league, hope he doesn't fail me.. but Allen is def worth rostering as well.. Thats a tough one..

Hold up.. your starting running backs in an 8 man league are Forsett and Hyde? How'd that happen..
Got a little crazy trading my first round pick for a second and third and all the backs I wanted to take at the point I got to pick were gone at 11.  That and I was banking on drafting Arian Foster and he got taken the pick before I was going to take him.  Rest of my positions are pretty stacked though.
