OFFICIAL 2015 FANTASY FOOTBALL THREAD

Can't believe I'm going into this week in one of my leagues with Wheaton, Cole Beasley and Ty Montgomery/Aiken as my receivers. Pray for me

So, any Cobb owners concerned with his 'minor" AC-Joint injury?

Word is he has limited range of motion and it'll be a few weeks until he'll be 100%.

My concern is that in spite of all the targets he'll be getting, he may not be as effective.

Another concern is that he may aggravate it or come down hard on it again.

On a similar note....

Man it's been a rocky year already for receivers. I started this fantasy year saying that "receivers get hurt at a much lower rate than RBs" and thus far that has not been the case.

I mean looking at the total fallout this year we've lost Jordy Nelson, Kelvin Benjamin and possibly Kevin White to season ending injuries. Receiver ranks were already thinned due to off the field issues (Josh Gordon suspension, Martavis Bryant).

And now a ton of guys are dealing with injuries ranging from hamstring issues to shoulder ailments.

And like I said, last year was truly an outlier in terms of receiver talent being found on the wire. Looking at the wire in my deeper leagues, I don't see a lot of possible break-out candidates.

Bruh what…you telling me your drafting skills about on par with your madden skills :x

I'm disappointed in you as a Bucs fan. How does one end up with that terrible of starting receivers

I didn't know the guy I'm facing had Gronk.....I'm down 54 already :x :x hopefully Eli can add some INTs since that's dude's QB

I mean ASJ is definitely gonna get you more points than Celek...this ain't 2010 bro

ASJ has great potential but he still has a lot to prove. Idk how Celek is even still rostered.

REPPED to all that had input. Kyle Rundolph is a FA as well. There's been SO much movement in my league this past couple days. Folks are panicking and trying to make hella risky moves that they think are going to pay off. Some straight YOLO ****, like dumping M. Bryant because he's going to be out for a little bit. With my TE spot being shaky I've watch some guys get dropped that I think could slightly upgrade that spot for me for sure. This is going to be an interesting season and I want to flourish!

I scooped up ASJ the other day, looking forward to see how he turns out this week.

Having said that, I'd rather bet on Rudolph than the 3rd target (ASJ) for a rookie qb.

:smh: One horrible year and all of the sudden Eli is Mr. Interception.

Randle, the offensive line and Kevin Gilbride definitely did not help him in '13.

McAdoo :smokin. OBJ :smokin........Our line is still shaky though, heh....

We'll have to see if I made a mistake not dropping Tyler Lockett for James Jones when I had the opportunity. I just have a lot of confidence in Lockett's talent and potential role for that offense.

 at "one horrible year"

Eli averages 18 picks a season.

And he's known to throw picks in BUNCHES.

3/4/5 pick games.

Kevin GIlbride's antiquated scheme was responsible for much of Eli's early struggles.

The man would literally run out the same base-set ALL game long, even if it wasn't working and run the same plays over and over and over to ad nauseam.

I hate even ripping on Gilbride because he had his moments, but the fact is McAdoo is much more innovative and flexible.

A lot of QB's would've struggled under Gilbride.

James Jones or Roddy White @ flex?
What is your guys opinion on Dorian Beckham Green?

Eh, tough one. I feel like Leonard Hankerson has a real shot at supplanting Roddy. I also believe James Jones is going to be more productive than folks think.

It's close, but Roddy is practicing in full for the Falcons, you start him.

DGB is a raw but very talented physical specimen. He's a fine stash & evaluate. He's coming along a lot faster than I thought he'd be.

Matthew Berry not worried?

Time to panic .

But seriously. I know you know better, but for those who don't get the satire here, Berry is the last guy you should go to for fantasy advice.

Better options include the Sablich Bros (IMO the best in the industry), John Paulsen, Jeff Ratcliffe, Patrick Daugherty & Mike Clay.

Berry is good entertainment, nothing more.

QB scoring in my league -

Passing Yards: 25 yards per point; 3 points at 325 yards; 4 points at 350 yards; 8 points at 400 yards
Passing Touchdowns: 4
Interceptions: -1

One thing I noticed in scoring is no negative points for a missed FGA. Anyone else's league play that? I think the kicker should be penalized.
In my league we do -3 points for PAT missed. No excuse for missing those.

Qb's in my league generally score higher than normal leagues; our scoring for qb's is:

1 pt per 20 yards passed

5 pt passing TD

-1.5 INT

-0.5 sack

Thanks man, I was going through the same thought process going back and forth between the two options.

As for DBG, I really want to pick him up, but I think I have too many players that are the stash and evaluate type. You think he would be worth dropping Brian Quick or Davante Parker for him. I liked what I saw from Quick last year before he got injured and I am hearing a lot of good things about Parker from the dolphins camp

No I wouldn't drop Parker or Quick.

Quick should be a solid WR3 this year and Parker is a big rangy and talented young man that should be a factor for the Dolphins in the redzone. I think Jordan Cameron is overrated and Parker will be the 2nd best receiving option behind only Jarvis Landy.

Fam I tweaked, I looked at the draft results and I took Wheaton over.............. Edelman [emoji]128584[/emoji][emoji]128584[/emoji][emoji]128584[/emoji][emoji]128584[/emoji][emoji]128584[/emoji] please don't judge me. That pre season injury scared me, forgot Bellicheck like playing games with the injury report. If it matters I have Murray x lynch x Ingram as my backs [emoji]128530[/emoji]

Na I'm good. So far I got trade offers of
Jordan Matthews for Ingram
Aj Green for Lynch
I just don't care for receivers

You will start caring when you're sitting at 0-6.

I'd do Jordan for Ingram ASAP

James Jones or Roddy White @ flex?

Roddy by a sizable margin.

As of now, DGB is outside the top-50 WR. Has to prove his Year 1 worth and rapport with Mariota.

We'll have to see if I made a mistake not dropping Tyler Lockett for James Jones when I had the opportunity.
A lot of the Jones hype or reclamation project in Green Bay is under the assumption he maintains previous chemistry with Rodgers. Even with Jordy out and Adams' growing pains, it's highly unlikely James Jones sees the 111 targets he enjoyed last season in Oakland. Jones isn't exactly a TD machine either, with the exception of the 2012 season as an outlier. If anything, the sleeper potential and value of Montgomery and Janis decreases.

Lockett has the potential to be Seattle's best receiver within 2 years. He has big-play ability and explosiveness. Obviously Lockett's value Year 1 is handcuffed by growing pains and the Seahawks' offensive scheme.
