OFFICIAL 2015 FANTASY FOOTBALL THREAD

Anyone confident in Cooks?

Tough matchup and Brees is out

I don't really have confidence in starting him

Saints have been on a downward spiral since they traded away J.G. Who's there backup?
Luke McCown. Grayson the backup now with Brees out. We're going to see how effective Sean Payton's offensive system can be without a formerly elite QB.

With Brees out...who should I start? 0.5 PPR pick one

Cooks vs Panthers
David Johnson vs Niners
Gurley vs Steelers
It's hard to argue against David Johnson. He's scored 3 TD in two games in three different ways: Return, rushing, receiving. The question is how many carries Arians is willing to give Johnson.

I still recommend Cooks, but that will be an unpopular opinion this weekend.

I foresee Gurley getting less than 7 carries in his debut. Fisher should/will be cautious in Gurley's first action since the knee injury. Gurley's first real impact should come Week 4 vs. Cards or Week 5 vs. GB. I would try to buy low on him in all leagues prior to STL's Week 6 bye, because after that, I believe his performance and production take off.

Anyone confident in Cooks?
I believe Cooks can be a back-end top-20 fantasy WR in Week 3. Although odds are against that with Brees out, Cooks' slow start, and the ankle injury. He's a solid WR3/Flex option regardless.

Which one to start?

Teddy vs Chargers
or
Tyrod @ Dolphins
Taylor. Teddy has the weapons but hasn't really clicked with Johnson in the regular season. Both QBs have rushing ability, but Taylor more so. Only downside is Taylor's 3 INT through two games and being forced to throw a lot trailing, thus creating turnovers late.

Would anyone do cobb and Doug martin for Joseph randle, Isiah crowell, and sammy watkins? Standard scoring
I prefer the Cobb and Martin side, unless you're trading for Randle/Crowell/Watkins and need the RB depth severely.

If Alshon can't go again, who should i start in a standard league?
Baldwin vs Bears or Wheaton @ St Louis? My other WR is Vjax with Dez out
Baldwin.

Keep two

Dalton, Palmer, Stafford moving forward
You have to keep Palmer moving forward and hope he remains injury-free. He's become a sneakily good fantasy QB with weapons in Brown, Fitz, Floyd, Johnson.

Stafford over Dalton for your second QB. Don't trust Red Rifle at all, even with A.J.'s greatness and Dalton's hot start in two games vs. Oakland and SD.

Cooks or Crabtree?
Although Crabby's QB situation is trending up and Cooks' situation is trending down, I still find myself recommending Cooks. Slow start and bad ankle, but too much upside. Payton is creative to get him touches. McCown hasn't started since 2011 and has a 9 TD/14 INT ratio as starter, but he's got a strong arm and again, no more Jimmy and Stills in New Orleans. Spiller was limited in Week 2, him and Cooks should both produce well this weekend. Plus Crabby won't see 16 targets weekly like he did vs. Ravens, that's an anomaly.

J. Matthews or Jarvis L in the flex...non ppr
Landry, although I prefer him even more in PPR formats. He's almost guaranteed to receive 10+ targets from Tanny per week. Matthews has had issues with drops, and the Jets secondary might put clamps on him. He's the focal point WR without D-Jax and Maclin on the Philly sidelines in recent years.

I don't think it's pushing it saying Crabby will get double digits in targets this week with Haden shadowing Cooper. Gotta check and see if that will still be the case.

After Alfred's stellar performance last night I really need Ivory to play this week.

Was offered Sammy Watkins for Andre Johnson. Take it?
I was cool on drafting Sammy, but at this point in the season, I prefer Watkins to Dre. Johnson's caught 7 short passes on 17 targets. Averaging a measly 7.3 yards per reception. Hasn't scored more than 5 TD since 2010. Sammy has the speed to make big plays and Taylor is better than we thought at QB. Watkins is due for two or three breakout games per season, like we saw last year vs. Vikes, Dolphins, and Jets.

Flex one. PPR

CJ Anderson
Eric Decker
Torrey Smith
Anderson. It's difficult to remain patient, but hopefully you're not 0-2 because of C.J.'s incredibly slow and unproductive start.

I think Gore will do pretty well this week vs. Titans D, plus I think he'll get a lot of carries with the Colts being up running out the clock. Any opinions on whether I start Gore or Woodhead?

champcruthik champcruthik Trade my Moncrief for Joseph Randle?

My WRs: Megatron, Sanders, Evans, Tate, Moncrief
My RBs: Charles, Woodhead, Gordon, Yeldon, Ellington (IR)

10 TEAM Standard.

I know most guys already said yes the other day when I asked, I just like to hear your insight :nthat:

I'm not champ but I definitely would. Only if TY was out for a extended period of time I would keep Moncrief. With Weeden being the qb, and Dez being out I think they'll be more run heavy and rely on that O-line

Need some WR2 and Flex help in both my leagues. Standard Scoring

Pick WR2 and Flex

Jeremy Maclin @ Packers
John Brown vs Niners
Keenan Allen @ Vikings

Starting Lacy, David Johnson, and AJ Green already.

2nd League

Delanie Walker vs Colts
Lamar Miller vs Bills
Darren Sproles @ Jets

Starting AP, Cooks, Davante Adams, and Heath Miller already.

Thanks fellas

Man I hate the Saints and Brees idk why I drafted him (20/20 hindsight I know) :smh:

Who should I pick up:

Tyrod @ MIA
Dalton @ BAL
Kap @ AZ
Fitzpatrick vs. Philly

Snag up fred jackson if you can.

Lynch has a strained calf and might not play.

even if he does i bet fred sees lots of time against a decimated Chigago team.

I like Dalton for the long term and probably out of those matchups as well.

Stafford hasn't done anything to make me trust him even with all the talent around him. At least Dalton throws the long ball. I'm starting Dalton over Stafford.

If you're PPR, might side with Woodhead. Think that's a tough one because Gore has been so bad but Woodhead is splitting with Gordon. But he's getting all the red zone snaps/targets from Rivers and they should be throwing a bit more as road dogs.
