So Is Tom Cruise Unanimous G.O.A.T.?

Tom Cruise is the greatest and most consistent action star of all time. There are better actors, but not better action stars.

Uhhh, kindergarten cop was a decent flick

If anything, everything arnie has done since end of days has dropped his position in the pantheon

watching Tom Cruise movies is like watching an episode of CSI on a weekday afternoon. You know it's gonna have an OK action plot, the lights, gunfire and explosion will at least keep you entertained even though you don't know why the f*^* any of it is happening, and overall it's guaranteed to not be a complete waste of your time...

But beneath all that, Re-runs of the Bourne Identity or Independence Day aren't on and you don't feel like watching The Price is Right.

Kindergarten Cop was so damn entertaining.

Predator is one of my top action movies of all time.

Dutch > all of cruise's action movie roles

Please name me some Norton hits

And Gosling is overrated.

Afleck got more hits then dude.

Do yall watch movies for entertainment or nah?
Why do they have to be "hits?" I'm talking about acting. Ed Norton in American History X craps on anything Tom Cruise has ever touched.

People vs. Larry Flynt

The Score

Red Dragon

25th Hour

The Illusionist

The Painted Veil

Fight Club

Something tells me you haven't seen most, if not all of these though.

The threads not about acting though. He's not the best actor. We all agree on that

Because Vin Diesel doesn't play that character.

Do you really believe Liam Neeson is the only one that could have pulled of Taken, or are you saying that because thats how you know Taken and you really cant picture anyone else? You really thing Denzel couldn't have done Taken? Have you not seen Man on Fire or The Equlizer. Hell Tom could've pulled of Taken
That would have been right up his alley. "Black Taken" would have been piffscale.

Well yes I'll agree with the intent of the thread in that his movies are successful at the box office, there's no denying that.

Is that what makes him "GOAT" though?

Toms films aren't cookie cutter action flicks though.

They all have relatively strong plots.

You acting like he stars in Expandibles or F&F

Why yall actin like his films are cookie cutter

I have, none of those hold a light to him going ****** (not full ******) in Primal Fear.

And that even seems forgettable by your standards.

Pride and Glory was also good.

The Score?

Wasn't the Illusionist straight to DVD?

Red Dragon?

That was just the male lead SOTL.

You reachin.

Yikes @ the slander.

Norton, DeNiro, and Brando were all fantastic in this. Actually Brando's last film.

I guess we'll leave it at we have different taste. You can keep your by-the-numbers box office hits.

Hate to see what your taste in music is like if money is your only measuring tool.

I only read the 1st page so it may have come up. But born on the 4th of july is easily his best work. Easillyyyyy.

Not sure why Edward Norton is even being mentioned.

Dustin Hoffman's career easily washes Norton's.

I've noticed a lot of people online definitely have a boner for Norton/Hulk. Not sure what the hype is all about.
