Why Are We Obsessed With Others People Money/Spending Habits?

Listening to the LeBetard Show and heard them talk about David Copperfield being worth 800 million.

A whole thread of people being disgusted at tipping habits.

Past post on people questioning other members purchases.

Birdman stayed relevent because of his spending.

I'm guilty of sometimes judging people on their budget management.

I'm 29, and slowly starting to care less about money.

I'm having a hard time not caring because everyone else cares so much.

Nobody "cares" but if you make a thread, be prepared to hear different opinions on a subject matter.

I've had numerous arguments with best friends in the past who feel the need to overstep their boundaries and add their two cents about how I spend my money. At the end of the day, I really don't care about their judgement on the issue. I just feel that if you aren't there working my hours or earning my money for me, who are you to tell me how to spend it. There have been times I've bought a pair of sneakers and my friend/friends have made comments about being wreckless and immature with my money because they have the illusion that their responsibilities/financial obligations are "so much bigger" than mine. Similarly, I've had a friend tell me I spend "like an idiot" on clothes and food. I believe that you should get the best bang for your buck, but at the same time, money is friggin paper, simple as that. I don't think we could ever come to the point of totally not caring about money because that's how capitalism works but not letting money rule you is what I try to live by. If I want a new suit and I worked hard for it, I'll buy that suit with no remorse. As long as I have a roof over my head and my bills are paid, I don't mind splurging for the stuff I want...

Care is a strong word, I don't think anyone on this site is losing sleep over other people finances. They state their opinions and move on with their lives

so i can find a way of having their money end up in my account...like if you need a shoe lace or a tooth brush, i got you

So one day I can Nas Ski Mask gif them and you all can pay attention to my spending habits

People always envy what they can't have.

When you're doing/purchasing things that are above others' means it's only natural the sodium levels start rising.

Word. I think some people confuse others of having a simple opinion as truly caring about others spending habits
