The biggest difference is the construction. They use a lot of the same fabrics, just seasons later usually.
The original J. Crew brand is mediocre at best so it's not that bad for the outlet brand. The only thing that happened to me was the buttons on my shorts falling off due to sloppy stitching. Restitched and all good.
You're paying $10-20 for pieces here so great deal either way.

There are dress shirts and casual aka sport shirts. People also call them button downs which really referred to the type of collar, this case with buttons on them so the collar buttons down.

Don't have tees from the outlet brand. Got a cardigan years ago from the outlet and it was tts. Also copped some shorts months ago and had to size up. I take a 31 waist in regular J. Crew. Had to get size 32 in outlet shorts.Is this true?Thinking of copping a few tees.

All my jcf stuff fits true to size. Never had a problem with the quality. Have like 7-8 sports shirts from them that i've been wearing for years and have no problems.
