Asian Culture Discussion Thread

^^ an ABG (Asian Baby Girl) is a relatively new stereotype of an Asian Woman. Usually, from the ages of 17-24 (honestly can be more or less) this stereotype is highlighted by an empty personality with no real foundations in anything other than their love of material things (raves, molly, boba, food, social media) and is just outright annoying. Physically an ABG is characterized as having **** tons of makeup and metallic grey/lavender hair.

If any of you are looking to see some in person just head over to Dave n Buster's in Milpitas on a Friday night or to any Soulection/HBK event/1015 Folsom/Sundaze/Audio on the Bay etc
correct.

Hahaha heatpinoyboy heatpinoyboy throwing that fire at all the asian girls. You ain't lying though, it's cute for like 10 min then it gets sad really quick

dawg i have never been tagged before and just looking at my SN makes me :x hope Meth allows me to fix my middle school mistakes when we switch platforms.

Speaking again on the stereotype, its of course a baseless stereotype and I've met a few who are actually quite enjoyable to sit down and talk to. Its just that edm addiction wears me out

My little cousin goes to Cal and his girl is a semi-ABG.

Except she's low-maintenance, her parents are rich af, she's very intelligent (perfect GPA in CompSci major), and lost her virginity to him.

^ im sure thats just an america thing
pardon the ignorance, they're in the A also right? If so, how would one approach one of these girls without looking "thirsty" I assume that would be the reaction most guys would receive from an abg. Would i have to be draped out in supreme/designer stuff and be even more shallow and self centered than the girl?

If you're in VA, hit up "The Block" and "Honey Pig" for ABG.
I was just going to say this. Felt like home

Side note: The Block is overpriced.

I wasn't paying attention to the prices when I went but I can imagine. I went there for an event so it was open bar, free food being brought out, and we each got a free ticket for Snocream. We had the whole bar side of the place roped off for our party. The cocktails at the bar are great. Food was delicious. I messed up getting bubble tea over the sno cream stuff. Honestly I was just overwhelmed by the menu and my girl was scolding me for flirting with a hot Asian. Then my gf ended up taking a pic of the hot Asian's Snocream, I wish I got what she did :smh: I think I'm gonna head over there this weekend  Just went to Honey Pig last Friday.

After a few run-ins, I think the NYC version is:

- Wears Jordans/Yeezys/Boosts/[insert new wave of sneakers/trainers]

- Wears throwback / logo brands (FILA / Champion / Supreme / Adidas / NOAH)

- Is self-proclaimed "sassy" and "snarky"

- Uses NYC slang including "deada**" + "fax b" + prides herself on knowing the NYC handshake

- Dresses like Emily Oberg with washed/distressed jeans + "minimalist" clothes + chokers + rings

- Similar to ABGs in Cali --> wears a ton of makeup + fake lashes / blonde streaks in hair

Just went to Honey Pig last Friday.
That looks good. I still need to try Honey Pig.

Honey Pig is always lit when I go there. They blast k pop videos on about a dozen TVs around the restaurant. It's a fun place to grab some quick KBBQ. We have a KBBQ grill and hot pot at home but sometimes you just want someone else to do it for you especially if it's late. I think they're open until like 2 AM. The seafood pancake there is bomb. I'm gonna have to try the beef and octopus for the BBQ next time though. Saw someone order it and it looked good. I love octopus.
