Both sides wildin IMO

He didn't have to hit her like that but it's her fault for being put in that situation.

But this initial under reaction vs. overreaction has to stop.

School been known about this, but let the video pop up and let him go?

Dude loses potential life altering experience/money, maybe criminal record and is labeled for the rest of his life while she gets a black eye?

Dummy.....you got everything to lose, think twice, or not....hope that punch was worth it to him...I wouldn't be able to live with myself.

Would this be a non issue if afterwards he states that he self-identifies as a female?

He's 19 years old and got into a bar fight. He ain't supposed to be in a bar in the first place. Then, he went and punched a person in the face.

You don't believe in circumstance second chances?

I mean I get it, but I don't.

It's like entrapment.

I have no problem with him being released based on his actions. But the chick needs to face the same legal consequences that he is. She physically initiated all of this and put her hands on him first.

You can't try to punch people in the dome and expect them to just sit back and do nothing. You try to harm me multiple times and I'm probably going to try to harm you. And yes, that includes women.

When will these dudes learn at this point it's his fault and the people handling him

Protect your investment. Stay your xxx in the dorm room and hit your playbook Xbox study smh oh well college football will keep moving

Is not up to me to give him a second chance...the school obviously is not going to, **** is depressing, all that potential good life thrown away just like that...

come on. You know this is only a deal cus he snuffed a chick (which I stand against). If it was a dude he'd still be on the team, specially since he didnt initiate the punching and it wasnt no melee bar fight. Woulda cried self-def and this thread wouldnt exist. This that hot button issue that everyone wants to distance themselves from. Hence, he's outta here.

Ray Charles could look at this and see that it's over for this kid.

No amount of "she started it" will save him, no matter the spin anyone puts on it.

Unrealistic. I don't think athletes need to be held to higher standards simply because they're athletes. He's out doing what thousands of college kids do every night. No need for dudes to be hermits because they have opportunities that others don't. They just have to be smarter with how they interact when they go out.

The problem is that he punched a girl. If he doesn't do that, there's no issue.

Who hits a female in a bar where there are cameras? It's wrong to hit a female period but dude was tripping by hitting her in public where cameras are around. He was asking to throw his scholarship and college football career away. Straight dummy. Again I'm not condoning hitting women.

I know it's unrealistic but as an athlete with potential to go pro you need to outweigh what's more important a night out looking for yambs turning up or keeping your image safe.

And the people around him should of told him to watch out specially with all this domestic violence going on in the NFL dude signed his life away should of kept his cool ate the punches called the cops pressed charges sued and get paid now he's just another guy who went to that school.

I disagree with your first thought.

Responsibilities dictate what is and isn't acceptable.

As a college athlete, certain behaviors are expected out of you.

He really ain't even think about it, probably not his first time punchin a chick. My guy had the "you're not gettin away with this" mentality.

I don't know about you but unless your a serial bank robber, ****** aint just out n about scoping for cameras.

"Hold up ***** let's take this over here before I tee off, peeped a camera over here when I came in"

it's almost commonsense most establishments have cameras so it isn't smart to act a fool in public especially when youre a student athlete on scholarship who prob has aspirations to play in the NFL one day.

But going out to a bar is acceptable. There's nothing wrong with it, unless of course he used a fake ID to get in or he was drinking underage. There's nothing to judge here besides punching someone. No matter who you are, punching someone over something so trivial probably isn't in your best interest. But I could say the same about the chick who initiated all of this.

I agree with what you're saying. It wasn't okay or a good idea to punch the girl. But the problem here isn't going out to "turn up". This is what college athletes do. This is what elite pro athletes do. And there's nothing wrong with it. Again, the real issue is this guy's decision to clock the girl, not partying like most college athletes do.

if he wasn't out "turning up" and instead in his dorm reading a book, he would still be a FSU student athlete. College shouldn't always be about turning up, rather preparing for the future. Responsible student athletes aren't out and about turning up at bars acting a fool.

Says the guy who's always drunk at the bar on NT in his feels.

****

Get off your soap box.

This has nothing to do with him being responsible or staying in the dorm.

He lost his cool.

You can loose your cool anywhere.
