No Limit Fridays used to be a thing for me in high school

The memories in here. Some classics defintiely posted.

I remember listening to Master P Ice Cream Man in Electronic express years ago as I was planning what I was going to get for my Subs.

Master P- Ice Cream Man and Tru- Smoking Green hit so hard on my 3 12"s.

Man, I still play MAAAAAD No Limit. C-Murder Life or Death is one of my favorite albums of all time. Mac's Shell Shocked was a great album. P's Ghetto D and Da Last Don were so damn hard :x Magic's "Thuggin" was a dope album. Snoop's first NL album is my favorite Snoop album.

This song is more powerful than ever right now :smh:

Not No Limit but a No Limit dis.

This was the anthem for us for a few years.

Manny was too ill for this.........

As soon as Beats By Da Pound left No Limit, so did me caring about their music  97-probably early 99 No Limit was the goods. I didn't care who was releasing albums, I was buying. Gambino Family, Big Ed, Magic, Prime Suspects, etc etc. Some of the "coming soon" albums that never came out though  (Short Circuit, D.I.G.)

They still had good music after Beats By the Pound. It was for about a year or two. Then they started trying to make what everyone else was making and abandoned their sound completely. They were pretty weak. Damn I wanted to hear that DIG album bad as hell. There were a couple others I wanted. Would have to open up some old booklets.

Miss the NL and UGK collabs. Too bad they had beef.

Ke'Noe was one of my favorite producers back then too. Happy he's back and doing more than well today. Nicki, Wayne, Boosie and all of them got songs

MAC Shell Shocked IMO is one of the top 20 greatest rap albums ever made. Most people don't realize there was a huge bidding war over him before No Limit. Def Jam wanted to sign him.

Dude was before his time. He has a line on World War 3 that goes "blacks were sold trade slaves but got enough nerve to hate the gays". Who do you know at that time, in that Hip Hop climate speaking on topics like this? Not many at all.

A damn shame he got caught up like that

Bruh at one point it they were literally putting out a CD every other week.

and i've been trying to find another copy of TRU 2 Da Game OG, w/ the smoking green track w/ the isley brother's sample.

^^^ One of the 1st joints i remember getting banned in clubs. :smh:

I used to keep that orange plastic CD case for Ghetto D and the I'm Bout It VHS in my Jansport bag at all times :smokin

Remember copping these albums weekly.

Down South Hustlaz - the 8 Ball and MJG and UGK collabs were flames

Mr Serve On :smh:
Tru double disk got constant play

Kane and ables first album was good.

I saw Serve On perform with Big Pun at HOB in New Orleans.

I've met P, Silkk, C-Murder and some of the other tank dogs. Those dudes were local legends when I went to LSU. Always around. Never hiding. And respected.

Still one of his coldest albums..
