I have been in your state 3 times in my adult life and every time I went, nothing but an out of body experience. Nice weather. Nice trees. Nice dogs. But my opinion is invalid because I have been a visitor. Is life always this great man because I get slightly jealous when I see that people live in this environment 24/7.

Is it all it is cracked up to be or is it overrated?

Pics for beasts

Yes, it's the greatest. Hate the tourism and traffic though.

I don't think it's overrated, it's expensive but I like living in the bay. We just need to get like colorado already

-culture

-lake tahoe for snow

-san francisco

-LA beaches further down (norcal beaches are pretty cold)

-sports always fire

-plethora of all kinds of females

-music

-dro

-napa wine

-almost anything within a hour drive

Well, living in Northern California, I love it. Grew up out here and my only complaints is the cost of living in the Bay Area, more traffic jams, and the plastic bag fee.

I just bought a bunch of clothes, YES, I need a bag. DF.

So if a plastic bag is blown away am I littering if I don't give a minor effort to retrieve it?

If you arent poor, its fantastic. cost of living in the desirable parts of CA are no joke tho

Being from Nyc....

I ******* love california

Nothing like riding out a few homies at 9pm and smoking on the I-5. Hitting up a burrito spot and swinging thru a few houses filled with womenz of all shapes and sizes..

Visiting a patna who lives a block away from the beach with a smoke shop right around the corner...

Always wondered if LA was like summertime all year round
Coldest it gets in LA is like 40s. And that's not every year. Usually around 50-100 depending on where in LA you're at. This ranges from the super low to high.

My friend, fellow nter r0csfinest, moved here from the dmv and loves it.

No need to wonder, we have summer like weather 10 months out of the year. It never gets cold here even though you will see people bust out jackets once the temp drops below 60 degrees.

I have traveled a lot and while there are plenty of nice places around the country; I would never live elsewhere. The entire state of California is legit and I'd recommend visiting as much as you can if you don't plan on relocating here.

Maybe for attractions, but I wouldn't tell anyone to move out here in search of a fresh start, change of scenery, etc. Been graduated for 4 years from college and I still haven't gotten a job.

I could deal w/ 40 degree weather, especially after having the temp read -5 and below for 2-3 weeks at a time.

I want to visit but yall aint got no water  I understand booty is more important than water but not for this guy. But forreal, I definitely have to visit w/ the family one of these days. Gotta stack bread first.

Well for starters, you can't think of Cali as one type of atmosphere. San Fran, Sac, San Jose, Oakland, LA, and San Diego are all completely different.

San Francisco: Small area, big city feel due to a lot of residents, visitors, and communters. Business hub, tech hub, culturally moderate to free-spirit. More concentrated therefore a lot of things to do from downtown to mission st.. Financial District and Powell area might feel like Chicago or parts of Manhattan due to the crowd and infrastructure.

LA: More sprawl, less concentration downtown. Tons of "cities" to go to, more about the fashion life. Hip, up and coming downtown but, still better to go elsewhere. A lot of aspiring actors, a lot of culture, good beaches. More laid back than Bay Area.

San Diego: More laid back than even LA, more culturally attached to beach life, retired folks. Tropical weather makes it feel more vacation(y). Downtown sucks but, I like the Gas Lamp district.

Oakland: Laid back and extremely diverse, more black culture. OK downtown, more neighborhoodly as far as attitude. Less materialistic than SF and less show-offs.

San Jose: Tech hub, less crowded downtown. Clubs are clustered in certain areas so they're big on that in the weekend. More suburbs than anything.

Sac: Hot, country(ish), up and coming downtown, folks are flocking to that area since it's cheap compared to Bay. A lot of Growth, not transportation friendly though unless you're near downtown. A lot of potential if you don't care for beaches.

100% true. If you're well off you will have a blast. If you struggle with your finances well... at least there's the weather.

One other thing I can mention is that at least here in LA you can't drink the tap water :smh:

Living in the hood and hitting the richest parts town >>>>> living in the richest part of town.

I guess to each their own. I'm not tryin to raise my family in the hood. I'd rather bust my *** trying to get by in a good part of town.
