Healthcare workers and people that stand on your feet all day, what shoes are you wearing?

A lot of the nurses and MDs here wear ugly running shoes and Frees. Only the ones that are into sneakers wear Flyknits.

My first 3 months working I had some air max 2014s. Still wasn't good enough so I went and got one of the insoles from Champs. I was tempted to cop a chef's mat til I saw the prices. Not sure I wanna do this 10+ more years.

Foams are pretty comfortable too.

Did the inserts help? I think I'll do 2 years bedside and head to informatics after or work for the VA. My legs are dead after 3 straight.

Yea, felt like I was walking on a pillow for a few months lol.. Think I prefer the foams more.

I work in "clinical informatics" (that's what the are calling it this year) with a good amount of nurses. Most were burned out and say they love the office 9-5 after years in hospitals.

any good shoe inserts you guys would recommend? i work in a restaurant so my shoes have to be black, dress, non slip shoes, ruling out any nikes or anything mentioned above.

hoping that swapping out the insoles will help. ive tried dr scholls and stuff at walmrt but they never last more than a month or two

I see a lot of crocs around the hospital they must be the most comfortable footwear in the world

They're comfy and comes off easy. You can't wear them at some places because footwear has to be non permeable.

^those are Danskos :pimp:

I too am a nurse and at my office we all wear these. I typically work 7am-7pm so my legs and feet ache no matter what. But these are much more comfortable than any Nike (Fly Knit, Lunar Glide, Air Max, etc) I've ever worked in.

I have two pairs of Danskos but I truly dont find them to be that comfortable. They are easy to slip on and off though. This past year I wound up just wearing a pair of new balance. My shoes that I wear to work dont make it into my house.:x Dont want to wear my Js or other good shoes to work.

Try SB insoles.

at work I wear huraches ....the usual shoes look too feminine for me but the ones air4life posted don't look too bad

Crocs are cool but don't last me long enough. They collect a ton of crap in the treads too. Super annoying.

I stand on my feet for 8+ hours straight at work. Some standing and some walking.

Best ever was the Free 2.0
Currently using Fkyknit Lunar One

ULTRABOOSTS >

i bought a pair of these and i have never looked back. the boost sole is the greatest sole ever made.

flyknits are good cause they are so light but the ultraboosts cushion is the most comfortable thing ive ever worn.
