Sad situation. I suppose you dont know how you would act unless you're in that situation. But the fundamental problem with our society is if it were a loved one being attacked, you would jump in and help. But since it was a stranger, everyone did nothing. We all want someone to help in that situation but time and time again, we do nothing.

It sucks but you have a guy whose high and has a knife. Chances are it'll take 5-6 men to take him down and that still might not be enough. He could have that supernatural drug strength. and that's not even considering you yourself getting stabbed in the process. It's an all around tough call

. Scummiest dudes on there, bored and violent.

I always used to say I'd help but hearing stories of people who helped stop a stabbing and it going wrong nah man I'm taking pics and helping the cops but at that point I have to ready myself if he turns on me.

i was at the Noma stop today waiting for a train and since i was standing around it hit me like damn, someone really did get killed here less than a week ago...

iono what i would have done, apparently he was on "synthetics" (bath salts, correct?) ... just kind of surreal moment ... again, i don't know what i would have done, never been in that situation before...

Not saying I would be a hero. Just assessing the situation from a fundamental standpoint. I dont think anyone can predict how they would react until they themselves are in that situation.

I ride Metro to work, and man, I don't know how I'd handle that situation if it had happened while I was riding. Can't really say though until you're in the situation.

In that setting you can't do anything and anywhere else you better have a weapon of your own

It is what it is. No one is obligated to help. It just comes down to survival at the end of the day. I can't speak on the circumstances because I wasn't there. But dude is 24. Vs an 18 year old who's 125 lbs. Granted, he had a knife. At the end of the day, people didn't interfere for a reason.

Conceal carry would put the power back into the hands of those who fear
It would. Because if I had the opportunity to assist with the concealed, I would.

Fear of not being on my game and taking a life-ending/life-changing L is what keeps me frozen in place.

Sure the same applies for the other 98%. Just the culture we've fostered I guess.

Also, if im not protected under the good samaritan laws, cool on that. Definitely not helping.
