It is the third career year for Anthony Davis (AD), his on court performance and figures are getting better and better. AD has a visit to Hong Kong and attack the court this summer to promote the basketball campaign ''RISE''. This rising star is one of the ''Sneakerhead'', we are excited to have an interview with AD in the Sole Agent project, let us talk about the sneakers!

SA: What were the differences on choosing the game shoes when you played in high school comparing to play in the league now?
AD: Well, it was more just for style. I just wanna wear this shoes. I wasn’t really worrying about my feet, it's was just all about style.

Now, it's still style but focusing on comfort and stability as well. How my foot feel in my shoe, how stable it is, more important than style right now is how I feel when I step into my shoe.
SA: How would you pick your performance footwear now?
AD: I would like to wear mid-top or high top shoes. Never wearing low tops. I am actually working with Nike, the shoe they want me to wear, what shoe I wanna wear, and trying to figure it out the combination of both, where we both gonna be happy.
SA: We always see you run coast to coast during the fast break. Do you think a low-top footwear would help or have you ever tried on a low-top in your game?
AD: Um….no. I never wear low tops. I think it might hurt my ankle or something, I just cant. It's all mental. I cant see myself going to wear low tops.
SA: What innovation regarding to the sneakers is the most important for your game?
AD: As I said, comfort and stability. Especially when they came out with the Hyperposite, that was huge, my foot was very comfort in that shoe. Then the Hyperposite 2 took to another level. They cut out some foam out of the shoe, the air bubble, and everything, it was huge. I definitely feel very stable, and the foot felt very comfortable in the shoe and it is a nice looking shoe.
SA: Which cushioning system do you like the most & why?
AD: Well, I think the Air bubbles are definitely the best. I wouldn’t doubt it. I think the Max Air really take it to another level.
SA:. There is a logo ''PHATMAN'' on your game shoes. Can you please tell us more about the meaning of ''PHATMAN'' to you?
AD: When I was a baby, I was really chubby and fat, so my parents just called me fat man. Now everybody in Nike, everybody call me it now. All people I am close to call me that. It's just something I put on the shoe.
SA: You are featured in the recent promotional video of the movie ''PIXELS''. How's the feeling when you act with those CG characters?
AD: It was pretty cool but it was crazy. Like you see me talking to PACMAN, but there was actually nobody there. So I have to imagine somebody there. But it was very dope, the commercial came out nice.

SA: You wore the Hyperrev 2015 in the (PIXELS) video, so we three each designed a NIKEiD regarding to our favorite characters.Which one you like most?

AD: I like the GENIE design, I like bright color, and the blue stood out to me. The HELLBOY design is too dark if I wear it on the floor. I would rather wear the SUPERMAN design, I like what you did here with the blue and red.
SA: You always upload pictures of some off-court sneakers on your social media. Could you tell us which models you usually wear off-court for casual?
AD: Ummm….Air max, Air Jordans, Roshes, I wear everything. It's nice
SA: Is there a dream shoes for you, like a shoes that you must have it, or you already have it in your collection?
AD: I Actually just got it a pair of AIR MAG. You know what I am talking about right, the back to the future one. It's definitely a hard shoe to get.
SA: Do you wear all your sneakers or do you keep some of them in brandnew condition?
AD: Yes. I wear most of them, some of them I just get it. Not every shoes have my size so I will just get a us12, so I just have them. Like the AIR MAG in us12.5, I will never wear them even if I could. So those shoes I will never wear them, it will be in the box.
SA: In HK, there is the one & only sneaker street in MongKok. Is there anywhere similar in your Hometown and maybe we could go visit someday?
AD: Hmm….it's one store. We don’t have a whole street, I don’t think so.
SA: Could you share us your most memorable moment or story with your sneakers?
AD: I didn’t know. I never have. If something happen to my house, the first thing I will get are my shoes. I don’t care anything else. The first thing I will get is all my shoes, I try to. There is a lot of them, Yes, So I will try.
