Is Kanye West too UPPITY to be the world's greatest living rockstar?

Why don't you tell me what the bottom of my question is? Pretty clear if you ask me… Who's the bigger rockstars?

You ain't schooling me on music history bruh, I'm well aware of who imitated who.
If your perspective is who had the broader reach, then it is the forefathers who are the bigger rock stars. Little Richard, Chuck Berry, Jerry Lee, James Brown, Sam Cooke, are the bigger rock stars because they feed the beast. They are the inspiration, and the muse is the sound.

If your thought is who made more money, and then had more white women screaming at them in order to determine who were the bigger rock stars, well, James and the crew had to travel via station wagon, play at segregated clubs, were not allowed to stay in, or travel to certain towns, and Mick Jagger STILL heard of him way across the pond.

What ever stopped the Rolling Stones from being seen and heard, other than themselves?

If you are suggesting that only certain people can qualify as being rock stars, then, according to who?

While Kanye West doesn't make the music I like, his birthright allows him to be considered anything he wants to be, especially since his ancestors created the entire genre that you claim to know.

Don't get it twisted, we ALL are the musical children of The BLUES in America.

Last I looked, the Blues did not originate in England.

I know I didn't see Prince disrespect

Cats is BUGGIN. Price is that celebrity that gets nearly all other celebs star struck. Aint a mf'er on the planet as cold as Prince.

TBH Mike was the only person alive who was really THAT ***** above Prince.

Although Prince ain't the biggest rock star in music right now, he's HOF first ballot Mount Rushmore rock star status.

Ask a good amount of people, they'll say he's the GOAT.

Kanye hasn't done anything that significant in culture aside from releasing a pair of shoes and driving kids crazy to be considered the biggest rock star on the planet. He isn't selling out the Cowboy stadium...

Put him against Taylor Swift, and he's done.

Hasn't like 2 of his tours gone sour? Him and Gaga flopped, and then him and Rihanna flopped.

But he's the biggest rockstar on the planet?

Wanna guess what kind of people fill up cowboy stadium or see Taylor swift?

Im sayin if theres a taylor swift or katy perry even a u2 concert theres a WIDE variety of people.

A Kanye west concert has mostly that niche group.

I like kanye west musically but i feel like lately his creativity away from music is better nowadays.
But i know he can produce another great great album if he wanted to.

Taylor Swift has probably the most diverse fan base out there, you don't sell out stadium concerts and go platinum in a week in 2015 without diversity

Justin Timberlake is in the same boat

Neither of these tours ever happened.

Vividly remember the Gaga and Ye Tour being cancelled b/c of the VMA's incident and Gambino talking about it in his stand up.

That's what separates the rock stars from the wannabees

And @tmak13, that's what I meant by some people will call him the GOAT. And I can't even disagree because of his credentials. He's pound for pound GOAT status.

But then you ask another crowd, and it's Mike.

I can't do the prince > mike or mike > prince BUT

Off the Wall is Mike best album......FIGHT ME

Mike > Prince . . .
