Ronda Rousey has become extremely annoying TITLE CHANGE

That's cool. I think it was an easier fight for women in tennis due to their ratings. No better person at that time to lead for them than Venus.

Key word being average. What's the average of the low end player? Not looking at stats I'm guessing $20k or less. David Stockton and Sim Bhullar made around $35k last year on the Kings.

The NBA knows the WNBA is a failing product and costs them money every year but they're afraid of a lawsuit when it isn't discrimination, just bad business to keep them around.

Men's tennis is the ****. Djokovic is doing his thing. Federer is one of the all time greats and still playing great.

I am talking about American men's tennis

Agassi and Sampras had non hardcore tennis fans tuning into majors regularly

they hyped the hell out of Andy Roddick carrying the torch but he wasn't good enough in the end which really hurt USA tennis IMO

Ah gotcha. True. Hopefully this you guy that won the amateur Wimbledon from the States turns into the real deal. 
 
I really don't see how Serena being the face of US tennis matters so much

Only one of the Slams happen in the United States, most of the both tours happens overseas

And Serena doesn't have a individual contract with the WTA nor is she on the same tour as men.

I do believe that of all sports the prize money between the men and women, especially the champions should be closer. But for other reason, especially in slams, maybe men should get a bigger cut overall best the do more work.

Edit: There might be some where completely equal is cool.

In other joint events, there are other reason why Joker winning would put more in his pocket than if Serena won it.

Just saying "Serena should be paid the same" is kinda short sighted

Plus Serena probably makes more in endorsement money than most men too
