I've heard the stories, knew he went to jail.

Never once bothered to look it up.

I've ordered many of Floyd's fight without once even thinking about him being a women beater.

The Floyd situation reminds me of the Sterling situation in some ways.

Both dudes were known to do scumbag **** for a while. People knew, but there wasn't widespread outrage

Something new happens, and all of a sudden everyone get enrage and people kinda see the light

But it is kinda weird to me that in Sterling's case it took him saying something disgustingly racist for people to finally wake up to his racism.

In Floyd's case it took him about too have the biggest night in his career for the public outrage to finally come.

I mean Floyd's last run in for domestic violence was what 2010ish? Plenty of people called him a scumbag, but he was still fighting big fights and getting promoting fights no problem.

Wasn't until the Pacman fight, some felt it was the right time to publicly crucify dude. I mean I sure there are many that always hated dude for his violent past, but there are many others that knew, didn't say a peep until it was being talked about all over the place.

And it is kinda funny hearing people now be upset at others for not being extremely outraged. Like pa, he went to jail, he family forgave him, his kids seem to have forgiven him, the women he assaulted seemed to have forgiven him, we known about this for years, but all of a sudden I gotta reach deep down inside of myself to find the rage to condemn dude to your liking. Ehhhh nahhhhhhh

Floyd was a scumbag for what he did, I will never defend him for that. But at the same time, why should I be mad at dude right now? Seems like some naturally dislike Floyd, and know after he played with Pacman that this is really the only thing left they can use to thro shade at dude.

Have your fun brahs. But don't get upset when others aren't willing to entertain you.

Beadle, Nichols, and Olbermann all could've called for the boycotting of his fights for his fight for a few years now.


You keep going to 2002 but even you acknowledge he's been a household name since the DLH fight.

Where were the calls for his head since then?

Why wasn't he criticized more when he got bigger? Simple, DV didn't become a hot topic until Ray Rice. Not many understood the seriousness of DV, not even Roger Goodell. But let's not pretend that boxing doesn't have a history of crowds being divided because of race. Most true boxing fans don't do this, but when the casuals show up, they're driven by racial pride.



And hell, a ton of white Americans just wouldn't like Floyd regardless.

I just don't get how EYE am looked at wrong because I view Floyd as an entertainer and I don't allow what he does in his personal life to determine how much I will allow myself to be entertained by him.

My issue is when people make me, or anyone else that "supports" Floyd, out to be a bad guy because we don't display outrage over the situation.

Honestly, I don't give a damn. I don't know him, nor his girl. Doesn't matter to me. That isn't the same thing as me saying I ENDORSE woman beating. I just don't care. I don't need to display outrage on the internet over it.

Floyd is an entertainer. That is what I view him as. That is what "God" placed him in my life to do.

So whoever he beats, I don't give a damn. I will watch his fights and hope he wins because it is best for business

Honestly, that is how I feel. I don't know the girl. I am not emotionally invested in the situation, nor the participants, to give a damn.

But don't use me as an example, I don't really give a damn about the personal lives of anyone I am entertained by. So if Jushin Thunder Liger smacks his wife around and cheats on his taxes, I wouldn't be any less entertained by him.

You bring up the Rice fiasco, yet ignore the fact that Mayweather fought twice before his Pacquiao bout and none of these pundits nor these fans were asking for his head.
 
And honestly, I believe many people don't really give a damn but don't publicly express that because

A. Makes you look like an emotional-less human

B. It removes you from being able to participate in pointless banter about it with co-workers, friends, internet people
 
The irony is LWC being a fan of a franchise that backed Ray McDonald when he was arrested on domestic violence prior to the 2014 season and then who subsequently went on to be investigated for sexual assault and got arrested again for domestic violence.

Look at you all in your feels getting your jimmies rustled. Go through the 49ers thread. Find out how many of us backed Ray MacDonald when that happened. Better yet, find out how many of us DIDN'T back him when he was going through that. Find out how many of us said he shouldn't have been playing. Find out how many of us were saying he shouldn't have been on the team when his case literally broke open days after the Ray Rice fiasco.

There's a certain degree you have to carry yourself with, clearly you don't care for that. At all.
