he states his top 4 are jordan 11 as number 1, than 3, than 12 and 13

jordan 1 is beautiful, maybe its the memories? or what do you think?

i think as a basketball shoe 11 is the best for gym looks, bred 1s are nice for fashion and looks overall though, maybe thats why he likes the 11?

I believe 11-13 may have been his favorite because of looks as well as comfort. A lot of the early Jordan's were not very comfortable athletic shoes in retrospect.

MJ isn't a hypebeast like most current AJ 1 buyers. Shoes are nice but high top dunks been being made for years and no one cared. Jordan 1s sat every time they came out before the recent hype. No surprise to me. 1s aren't in my top 4 either.

This is my theory about the 1.

Nike wasnt sure how Jordans would sell so they basically made an already existing sneaker (dunk) a signature sneaker by adding sum little changes.

After the boom of the 1 nike saw the possibilities and made the 2.

The 2 is vastly different from the one...no visible swoosh....italian leather.....completely original design.

Every jordan that is memorable is completely unique.
Look at the 11 through the 14. All completely different.

The 1 is significant in what it represents as well as nostalgia but in terms of design its obviously the least thought out jordan.

Maybe because it resembles a shoe that was already popular, the nike dunk

Every other model you can tell froma mile away that its a jordan shoe

He says 12 or 13 as his third choice and admits that it's difficult to choose "favorites."

I have to imagine that 3 is up there because of how many personal touches based that were actually based on MJ were put into the shoe along with it being the model that kept him at Nike. The '88 Dunk Contest helps too I'm sure.

11, it's been said that he wanted patent leather around the time of the X or XI and that no matter what, Tinker had to find a way to put it on there. So I'm sure the look and feel of that pair, not surprisingly is one that means a lot. '96 Finals and his fathers passing sure helps it to mean more too.

As for XII or XIII, that was a golden era in Bulls history, his comeback, a lot of personal elements in XIII too.

As for why he didn't choose the others, MJs answers always seems to change. I've seen him say XI, III and "the newest Air Jordan," either way he sure seems to like the 1 as he's been photographed in the last couple years sidelines in the Laser 1, Pinnacles, Blk/Gld pair and a few other random mid tops.

The AJ1 was a thrown together basically. I don't even think MJ started out his rookie season in them IIRC. 1's are thin and you feel the ground even when you walk in them. All this extra AJ1 love now is so strange to me. It's had it's followers but def not like it is now. 1's were just an "oh those are releasing again? Cool." kinda shoe.

Most likely because of comfort. 1s are so uncomfortable to ball in.
I guess a lot of you are millennials.

MJ has stated multiple times that the 1 is the most uncomfortable shoe in the jordan line.

In 98 when he played at the garden for the last time in a bulls uniform he busted out his old chicago 1's.

After the game he complained about much his feet hurt.

He also indicated the 1 is very low-tech.

low tech as in not very modern looking for him or?

1s are only many of yalls favorite and not his because of hype. Before 2013, 1s werent much of anything. Compared other Jays they aren't that comfortable to play ball in or even walk for a long period of time.

I actually find it funny that someone would think MJ would be obsessed or even like the 1s like many of the people riding the trend

Not only did he break his foot and was out for the entire 86 season, he quickly switched in and out of them in the 98 game against the Knicks, Michael's final game at MSG.

1's are and were the most uncomfortable jays to ball in.

I kinda hate how my foot plants on the ground while walking in a pair of 1's. Its the sound it makes. Like no other.

I gives zero ***** how much he dislikes or broke his foot in a pair of ones.

They are my favorite model, and that's all that matters, lol.

probably because it's one of the worst to ball in? common sense. his other choices make sense, champion years shoes as well as the shoe that really kicked off the whole Jordan/jumpman era
