Who's your cable/internet provider? Vol: Fed up with Comcast

I'm curious what providers people use for cable and/or internet especially if it's not Comcast/Xfinity. I'm sick of their **** customer service and they're ******** tactics for ignoring customer complaints. On GP I need to find a different service but want good internet speed and fair prices. Considering Verizon, anyone have any similar issues?

Comcast. Waiting for Verizon to become available in my area, and then I'll be making the switch.

Have time warner, can't complain except how much your bill changes constantly after the first year(promo year)

I have Xfinity (Comcast), and I agree OP it sucks. The problem is in my area of town the only alternative is Century Link and their service is horrible. When I move I'm getting either Cox or Google Fiber

I work for them tell me your beef and see if i can help you out

I appreciate it but it's more of a customer service issue. I called to get some reimbursement for a bunch of service outages we had over the last week. they did their usual routine of dragging out the call and putting you on hold multiple times hoping that you'll just lose patience and hang up. I was on the phone for 45 minutes and the supervisor I spoke with at the end of the call took like 3 minutes to offer me an unacceptable amount and basically tell me to go **** myself.

I actually don't think Verizon is offered where I'm at. Only other option might be RCN. Really wish we had google fiber in the area but that's not happening anytime soon.

^^^ depends on what your paying. i save about $60 a month since I got rid of the cable package I had. It was up to $210 a month and I had so many useless channels. I switched on basic network TV, HBO, and high speed internet and that's like 110 a month. I have netflix and sling, although I'll probably cancel sling for a couple of months, and that's really all I need at the moment.

Verizon Fios. It's kind of expensive in my opinion but the internet speeds are very fast and I never have outages. Their customer service isn't the greatest either though. But I'm guessing anything is better than Comcast.

I pay 130 ish after its all said and done with lan line and Internet. My thing is outside of sports and ESPN I literally don't watch anything else

i pay 185 monthly for a bundle of  land line , direct tv and 6mps internet which is the fastest speed available from att. i dont watch tv outside of sports. other then my internet speed i have no complaints.

Bump

How much y'all paying out here man?

I have Optimum and want to switch to FIOS but idk these prices :x I rarely use my channels I don't know why it's so hard to let go

I have charter and we pay about $200 for 60mbps internet and Silver level cable with DVR for 1 room. Gonna drop off the movie channels cause we barely watch em and we use showbox or moviebox

Had Comcast, basic cable and "50MB/s" internet. Was paying approximately $60. I didn't receive anywhere near 50 of course (copper infrastructure x terrible network maintence by Comcast,) but whatever. Usually had a solid 15-20 Mbps down/10 Mbps up. Had terrible channels, no ESPN, MTV, none of that. (And no, i didnt have a DOCSIS 1 modem. Motorola Surfboard, D3 like everyone.)

Recently switched to Century Link PRISM, which is a part of their fiber service. I pay $65 for their standard TV package and 40Mbps internet. Better channels, and, shockingly, I actually average about 38Mbps down/20 Mbps up. Hate that I'm paying $65 for a 40 mb fiber connection, but Century Link installed the fiber line to my house for free. As soon as another fiber ISP comes in the area, best belee I'm dipping.
