Overrated vacation destinations

What does your passport or listing all the foreign places have to do with this thread? Smh, I'm not about to list all the places I have been outside of the U.S. When it has nothing to do with overrated places. Ny is def a vacation spot (not mine) and grossly overrated. See how that works? Never had to floss my passport. Let's try another one. Other than the lovely barricaded beach, Waikiki/Honolulu arehella overrated and looks like a mini LA.

If I didn't list other places that require a passport, then it's probably because they are not overrated.

Son up there put Maui is overrated! Smh, what are you smoking? [emoji]128527[/emoji]

Anybody been to Iceland or any Nordic nations? I wanna go up there to see the Northern lights.

Probably would be really cool, but Minnesota has a pretty damn good view.

I always hear friends talking about travelling internationally and doing this and that -- when they haven't been West of Oregon (hyperbolic, but not too far off the truth) -- which I really want to experience myself, but exploring all the varirty in the U.S. seems to be a priority for me compared to others. Something about knowing all that we take for granted, but don't fully appreciate, or something.

And speaking of passports, I just got mine at the ripe age of 30. Getting married in November and my awesome mother paid for our honeymoon on the only stipulation that it be a surprise. Don't care where it is, I'm excited.

Barcelona was overrated to me i spent 5 days there and was kinda bored the pace of living there felt so slow but Gaudi architecture was something to see and probably the 2nd best food country/city I've been too right under Bangkok/Thailand

waikiki is nothing like LA imo.

I've done my fair share of travelling and I don't find anything overrated .. All cities have something to offer.

Not liking something a lot of people like does not mean it's overrated

Let that man have his time to shine. LoL

It was just a humble brag.

We all seen it once he wrote underrated, we knew we were in for a big list.

LoL

U guys should vacation in the Bronx ...Fordham road...city island ..the Bronx zoo....great place to vacation

hmmm. So now we are going to just narrow down the vacation spot.

Better yet, stay in the telly on 154 and Melrose ave in the Bronx.

LoL dude throwing shade but when people go to NYC, some do hit Bronx Zoo and botanical gardens. If you somewhat hood or ride bikes then you often but Fordham and city island.

They also have a couple museums and Yankee stadium.

Stop trying to be funny guy.

Again, is all what you make of a situation. If the Bronx was the only place I could visit, you better believe I'll have a great time. Start early hit Chocha beach, then ride to city island get some grub maybe rest till the evening and hit spot. After all BX have some of the best spots in NYC.

Same with Queens, BK , Manhattan, etc ... NYC might be a dump but on unlike other dumps .. There's something to do all the time ... The **** don't stop because its 2am .....

Southern Europe in general is trash.

I have been to the Caribbean several times and loved the countries there.

Anyone been to a non-springbreak infested place in Mexico? I'd like to go.

What part of the Philippines?

On another note, I can't believe how many people say NY as a city is overrated.

It's crazy I loved all these places yall are talking about. Maybe I'm easy to please but

Venice
Barcelona
NYC
Etc etc

I've had an amazing time at all these places.

went to NYC for my wedding anniversary last year, thought it was great! times square, macy's(went there to take a pic with santa)MOMA, central park, we ate at tom colicchio's sat front row at a broadway play and saw an SNL taping. we may even go back during a summer to get a different vibe(we got married in december)
I get what people are saying though about the tourism, I'd hate to live there. even on it's worst day SF has NOTHING on NYC in terms of just sheer people walking/standing around

oahu is very overrated, been there twice(when i was 18 and then 21) its just a fashion mall with a beach. got married on kauai and will never go back to oahu

madrid and barcelona are great places, the architecture alone makes it worth it

vegas strip is VERY overrated, go to the old strip on fremont, alot of locals hang out there and are really cool. went to this place called insert coins where its a bar/arcade, one side is the traditional arcade you're used to the other side is call of duty/halo type games where you sit and they give you a headset, the middle where the bar is and is lined with tv's and you can play a bunch of different console games

DisneyWorld is ridiculously overrated, like someone else said epcot is the only thing worth seeing there, but you can get the same experience and even more at disneyland if you go at the right time during the year. it's funny since disneyland came out before disneyworld and they were like "what's one thing we can build here, that the original park WON'T ever have.....EPCOT."

It's funny paris is mentioned in here, we had planned on doing our 5 year in paris, but then my wife said she'd rather go to iceland(really wants to see those northern lights) which doesn't make a difference to me

From California..

NY was garbage IMO. Smelled horrible, everyones in a rush to get somewhere and don't give a crap about other people, most food places in town are dirty / old, driving a car is hopeless although we did take the train instead.

Idk maybe chalk it up to me being a country boy, but I just didn't get the hype in it. The huge department stores maybe?

When I go to LA I can feel the inspiration and success seeping from its pores, but NY just felt overrated to me.

Man, I still want to visit New York and do everything that you New Yorkers hate about tourists.

JK, but I just want to take photos and eat at Shake Shack lol.

I'm from Dc. I have evert reason tk hate ny

When you set foot in nyc, it is like a spiritual high. Like damn I am in the Apple. The Mecca. Some placed just have a feel. Whenever I am in NYC, I felt like I was walking on clouds man.
