The good folks working outside at the car wash. Got a mini heat wave here in the DMV and when I went this morning around 9am, it was already over 80. These folks are busing their butts out there in extreme heat (on asphalt) making sure your whip looks right. It was so bad, I saw some of the employees using the compressed air gun to cool themselves off. I usually tip well at the car wash, but today was one of those days where I took a minute to really think about the thankless job each of them do.

*salute*

tipping them and the dudes in bathrooms is a must do. when you're job is being surrounded by 90+ degree weather or the smell of ****, and you do your job well, you get my money.

i wanted to say something trollish, but if there is a market for this kind of thing, than why not?

car owners like having clean cars, makes sense, so if someone who wants to do that kind of thing can make a few duckets off it, good for them for identifying that market segment and capitalizing...

Bathroom Attendants too.

A lot of franchise car washes I've been too dont take tips anymore. take

After the newness of the car wears off, I stop caring. Plus I don't trust car washes. Gotta do it yourself if you want it done right.

Worked at a car wash here in South Florida for a little over two years.. I know some people look down on it but the money is right depending on the location. I'd make a few hundred dollars in tips just on the weekends not including hourly or commission. I ended up leaving cause of new management but if you're young like college age and willing to work it's not a bad job to have.. Flexible schedule and pretty good pay but working outside in the hot sun does get old

thank you for compensating the my employees so I can have increase MY profits while lowering MY lower costs.

:pimp: :smokin :pimp: :smokin :pimp: :smokin :pimp: :smokin :pimp: :smokin :pimp: :smokin :pimp: :smokin :pimp: :smokin :pimp: :smokin :pimp: :smokin

I especially thank you for getting people to think its the consumer who's being cheap rather than me, the employer.

Why you judging so hard bro?

I tip the car wash guy....but I rarely don't wash my own car.

The bathroom guy NEVER gets a tip. I never take any of the items they have on the counter. In fact I don't allow them to give me soap or paper towels. I rather dry my hands in my pockets if necessary. I don't mind tipping on something I choose to order, but I sure as hell won't tip for a service someone is forcing upon me.
