Merchant Marines?

Does anyone know anybody in the merchant marine? Specifically on the engine side

I'm joining an academy in a few weeks and would like to know if anyone has experience w that

I don't have experience with Maritime Schools but I work in the Maritime Industry, specifically in Ocean Marine Insurance

Alot of people in the industry and a few of my coworkers went to Maritime schools, I think maybe 2 of my coworkers went to the Merchant Marine Academy

They say you make a nice amount of money if you go to sea so you should be good if you end up doing that

or you might end up in Ocean Marine Insurance like many of the grads working as an Underwriter, Broker, Surveyor, Loss Control, etc.

Sorry I cant really provide more info about the actual school experience tho, but I wish you the best of luck

You'll definitely have an interesting experience. My coworkers and the other Maritime Alumnus Ive spoken to have good stories about it
