Gonna return the 4KB and grab the AM 2014 iD since they're HTM

Don't laugh.  I know someone (and they comment on this board...let's see if they come clean

) who just returned them (4KBs) so that they could get the Air Max 2014 HTM iD.  In all fairness, they also had a 20% code, so it was a good deal.  If you have a 20% code, a $265 dollar limited edition is a good time to use it.

Veterans of the sneaker game, can someone explain how the 4kb's are sold out everywhere even though members of the board here are mostly indifferent about them? Conversely, the BLs seem to be generating a bunch of buzz but Nike seems to have loads and loads of excess in stock. Is it because they anticipated the BLs to be more popular so they decided to produce more of them? Were the 4kb's not expected to sell well?

Or is it all just hype and the 4kbs were probably made in equal amounts as the BLs but got bought up fast because everyone thought they thinks they're limited. How does Nike decide whether to make a shoe limited or not? Really wanted to buy the 4kb's with a discount but was pretty much forced to pay retail. On the other hand, it sounds like the BLs might eventually go on sale with discounts after hearing about all this stock.

Sorry for my shoe game inexperience, NIke's business strategies and "hype" is way over my head. I just buy what I like and (hopefully) for a discount so I don't have to pay an arm and a leg. Would appreciate some wisdom so I don't have to get burned by reseller prices in the future.

Less KB made

Not every single store received them to my knowledge

Have you checked your local stores? I've seen them at quite a few out here, could be cause I'm in LA though.

I live in Indiana, and no stores around here had them. So I got them from SNKRS, (according to UPS they were delivered today, so I can't wait till I get off work.)  so maybe it is because you live in LA. However, I seen footlocker has almost all the sizes online, why do most people want to buy them off Nike's website instead of footlocker it seems?

How do you know if a pair of kobes have the XDR sole?
Wondering because i play outdoors a lot.
The XDR Kobes pretty much only release in Asia because more people over there play regularly on outdoor courts as opposed to indoor, so unless you bought something from an overseas seller, your shoes most likely don't have an XDR sole (one exception would be if you made a NikeiD with an XDR sole).

If you did have a GR Kobe with an XDR shoe, you'd usually see XDR somewhere in the name on the box label, like "Kobe XI Elite Low XDR". I remember the XDR Kobe 8s had "GC" (Greater China) at the end of the name, and XDR Kobe 5s had "X" at the end of the name. XDR shoes usually also come with a tag like the one in the pic below that says XDR.

I'm not going to get into what constitutes 'limited'...I'm not opening that Pandora's Box on here again.  I can tell you this.  The retail location that my 'friend' works in; their delivery of BLs was big, and it's going to be released in a total of 8 locations in my area.  The 4KBs, they only got in a couple size runs, and they were all gone day 1.  That was released in 2 locations.

Return policy after they turn brown after 3 wears

Footlocker's website is actually acting up. Once you attempt to add it in the cart, there will be a pop up that says "We're sorry, but this item is currently out of stock and no longer available.." The asking price on eBay is floating around $300 for the 4kbs which means they're probably sold out almost everywhere. In comparasion, I bought my ASG's a week after release for $190.

On Tuesday, out of the 20 Footlockers in my area, there was one left in my size at a store, 20 miles away. Luckily a Niketown nearby had one left in my size; there was also one on display that was already dirty from two days of people touching it. I walked past a local FL in the mall yesterday and it wasn't displayed behind the front window with the rest of the XI's leading me to believe they didn't have any for sale.

Okay cool thank you! That's interesting. It's funny that you say 20 miles away and your lucky that NikeTown had it. The closest mall to my house is 45 minutes away, and I'm 1 hour away from another mall.  I've never been to a Nike town before. All we have is footlockers in those locations.

I think it was a combination of 3 things

1) White shoes are kinda "in" right now

2) They were limited

3) Roger Federer wore them to the Laker game and he has a pretty big fashion following.

Yeah but you can't add them to cart. Footlocker often shows they have sizes but when you try to add them to cart or check out they're not available.

Question fam. I ordered some Kobes off of eBay but forgot to sign in with my Ebates account. Can I add the purchase after the fact?

You can't say that him wearing them to the Laker game didn't create some kind of buzz that contributed to sales.

Foot locker site is archaic.

Footlocker has a Kobe 11 Low listed for April 9. Cool Grey/Team Red/Wolf Grey any news on this? Is this the start of the EM rollout?
