Eastbay didn't charge tax for California few years ago(at least 8 i'm estimating). All changed when they became part of the FTL family. Good thing for cash back sites.

Sales tax was almost exactly the same in Houston, TX and Mobile, AL as it is in San Diego.  There are Foot Lockers in TX and AL, but no sales tax through Eastbay in either of those states. I doubt the 2 are correlated.
I just looked it up and they are every close. It could still depend on the states tax code. If you're still interested, try this site http://www.nolo.com/legal-encyclopedia/50-state-guide-internet-sales-tax-laws.html. I know in general California taxes are pretty stringent. i've lived in Houston and currently live in California as well.

I know that (EAS, FTL, CHPs and FA are under the same unbrella). Has nothing to do with return policy. It has everything to do with what I mentioned in my last sentence. I can return it to the actual store rather than waste time and money shipping them back to EAS. There is zero incentive purchasing from EAS if I'm charged tax then have to pay for return shipping also.
I'm not arguing with you.

I still think footlocker has a crappy return policy. I ordered a pair of shoes online from footlocker, tried returning them to my local footlocker and they still shipped it back for a return. All they were willing to do was print the label and mail it off.  It probably depends on the store but I just deal with NDC or DSG if I can.
That's the store being difficult unless it was outside of the first 30 days, which they're no longer obligated to take it back. Anything after 30 days and before 90 days has to be sent back if you purchased online. Some of those stores are just full of crap  and they don't want to take the hit from the return. I had a store try and tell me they don't take QS' back, which was a lie. The only caveat to that is you can return't it the same day (or so I was told by the phone rep). And I guess there are some issues if you purchase from a HoH and regular Foot Locker (lady was mentioning something to the effect HoH aren't corporate owned they're more franchises? Someone with better knowledge can probably comment on that. Only going off of what she told me on the phone) Regardless, I made a copy of the receipt and sent back the shoes to FTL and they refunded plus gave me a $50 gift card for them being filthy liars. Online, Eastbay and FTL's are both 90 days, with the ability to return to a FTL within the first 30). IMO Nike and Zappos, which doesn't carry much Nike are the only ones with really good/liberal return policies.  Both have free returns and up to a year; however Zappos won't let you wear the stuff and refund you

Sometimes EAS is worth it if they have a really good promo code with free shipping on a sale item, unless they turn around and ship your shoes in a bag smh

Honestly, not too concerned since there's nothing I can do about being charged tax, but thanks. More often than not, I have my friend purchase for me through Swoosh. And since she lives in PA, there's no sales tax on shoes/clothing.  Between that and military discounts and I really can't complain. Just sucked going from not paying sales tax for the past 17 years though EAS and then finding out they charge out here. But again, nothing I can do. Sucked when Amazon and Zappos started charging tax as well.

SMH FTL is ridiculous lol. DSG has a decent return policy as well.
Their employees usually aren't the brightest, but I can't necessarily complain since I keep going back because of the discounts. I usually just stuck with HoH Baybrook in Houston. They were the most consistent for me. That is until they rotated some of their managers ... I didn't realize they rotated till I saw a few at different locations/stores around town and asked what the deal was.

Damn this thread blew up -

What's the consensus with traction on an average court? i.e. not clean as f, but not dusty as f.

Is it worth copping? As a guard who relies mainly on traction.

The infamous Bag of Death.  A true trademark of FTL, EAS, CHMPS, FA, and Road Runner Sports, although RRS isn't part of the illustrious first four

Two-finger width is quite a bit of room...maybe for running shoes. But touching the end of the sneaker is just as bad (worse, IMO).

The best recommendation is about a thumbnail's width (1/2 inch, approximately) from the end of your longest toe to the end of the shoe. And when you measure this, you should be standing up, putting weight on the foot and splaying your toes.

If you have to choose, always go bigger. Your feet will thank you.

Definitely its a lot of room but I prefer it that way. My TTS is 9.5 where my toes touch the end of the shoe but I find it uncomfortable on the sides (measured w/ a Brannock and my lone 9.5 kicks). For running shoes I usually get 10/10.5 while I go 11 for ball since its the size I'm most comfortable with, smaller than that I get intense pain in the medial side.

Have people decided the ASG's look better than the BHM yet?

Started to see some turns over the weekend, wondered if it's full on now with the comradarie.

I don't think any sane person will go as far to say that the ASG's are taking the top spot from the BHM's.  Then again people think Maestros are trash so you just never know
