They were just trying to expose the vulnerabilities of computer systems in modern day vehicles...

It worked. Fantastically. That's an angel fam.

White-hat hackers exposing the vulnerability to get it fixed now > black-hat hacker taking over your **** and driving you into a tree full speed instead of a ditch.

Unlikely scenario obviously, a good 98% of us are too unimportant for someone to go that far but id rather the possibility never exist.
