And to answer the question. Once you reach a certain age, You don't even WANT to wear sneakers to the club. Tell me your under 19, papa.
I don't even want to be anywhere near a club that allows people to come in with Nikes. if Im going to the club, ima be sexied up 100%. Throw on some shoes, B. Get your grown man on. Any girl that would even talk to a cat in the club with some nikes probably got a fake ID, smell like Bath & Body Works spray, and don't got no credit.
Only exception is some designer sneakers but that's on a case by case basis. Get you some shoes, pa.

A lot of day clubs have dudes dressed like that
I used to joke that joints are sponsored by Footlocker because almost everyone would be in Jordans or Nikes.

as for NYC it depends
Classy club/lounge - no sneakers no jeans...chances of you getting in without a suit drop 75%
Reggae/Dancehall club - streetwear is typically acceptable but you gotta still look somewhat nice though unless its themed "all white affair" or "for the grown & sexy"
House/Dance/EDM - ranges depending on the venue
Latin/Ballroom - you better come fresh dipped and buttered or you getting no girls and likely no entry

Depends. Not really, I used to. Especially the day they dropped. I feel like I've outgrown that. Hopping out of valet in some Balenciagas or Buscemi make a better statement.

I took one of my homeboys to a club downtown and they wouldn't let him in because he had on sneakers.

You're acting like Nike is the only type of sneaker that exists lol.
I only wear Italian designer sneakers and have never been denied entrance.
There's plenty of classy sneakers you can wear, the clubs probably deny Jordans because they belong on a basketball court.
