I think what I'll replay in my head is if I would have gone Gasol over Butler with my 1st pick. PG was taken right before me, but I really debated going with Gasol. He would have given me my two way big man and I would have needed to get my perimeter guy with my 2nd pick.

I think when I made my big board, there were just so many big men I liked compared to the perimeter guys I wanted to go after. So I figured at the least I could find my big man with the 2nd pick, but the wing market would have been dried up a bit. I really wanted Drummond, but no way he was making it to me in round 2.

I'm skeptical with Butler as my #1 too, but I think he can handle it. That or hope that Favors has a breakout year offensively. I won't need him to carry the defensive load because I'll have Bogut.

The only thing I thought about doing differently was selecting Danny Green in the 2nd round, then Rudy Gay and holding off on Nurkic. I still came out with KCP, but I didn't realize how long starting rim protectors would last in the draft (i.e. Hibbert), so i wanted to go ahead get mine early.

I was definitely surprised to see how long some guys lasted.. I didn't think I'd be able to get Bogut with the 102nd pick when he was one of the best defenders in the league. Injury history probably played a factor, but if he's healthy he's still a beast.

Payton was another one I was shocked to see him last so long.. his lack of shooting is a problem, but other than that he was one of my top PGs on my board. George Hill was another high value PG taken late.

Bogut just got benched, in the Finals, and his team started winning because of it.

That had an impact on his ranking, imo.

I like the team I've assembled thus far...

MCW
Kobe
Deng
Sullinger/Marcus Morris
Noah

Jamal Crawford
Snell

Obviously, we're going to use our length and size to our advantage; we're probably the biggest team in the league. Hopefully we can defend multiple positions well and switch off when necessary. Kobe, Deng, and Noah should anchor our defense. Speaking of which, If Kobe holds up, which he should considering injuries are going to be turned off, we should have no trouble competing for a playoff spot. My only concern is at the four, though Sully and Morris are adequate enough. I'm loving Crawford as our sixth man; we can run our offense through him for stretches while Kobe rests.

Going to be interesting to see how the rest of the draft plays out.

Fortunately the season isn't just one series against Cleveland. I'm not complaining if that was the reason, but over the course of a season, he was one of the best defensive anchors in the league.

in the 2k simulation do all players start healthy at the start of the season?

is there a rating for how easily a player gets hurt?

my team is severely undersized, i know that much.

agreed. the matchup dictated that was the move, and it worked. all season he anchored them and was a tremendous passer from the high post

you can turn the injuries off, which is how i will run my sim on 2k15 and i think champ stated he would run it that way on 2k16. with injuries on, its just too much crazy stuff that can happen in terms of rotations getting all messed up by the cpu. of course, if injuries are on. players do have injury ratings and they also have a injury frequency slider.

yes, but Champ is turning injuries off

That's all I was hoping for. I built my team hoping injuries are turned off.....otherwise my team would've been injury plagued all season. Players nowadays ain't built like they used to

By the way something about 2K. You have to do 15 rounds. So we either need to do 15 rounds.

Or the team would get auto filled the last 3 spots. And someone will have to go back through to fill the roster with crap players. So nobody gets a decent player that wasn't drafted.

I'm packing it in on defense and forcing your team to shoot.

My team is super well rounded, just wish I could've gotten a star on the perimeter but I'll roll with 2 guys who can shoot 40% from 3 and a young natural PG.
