MY DRAFT STRATEGY:
ROUND 1
Player Selected: Paul George, SF.
Player(s) Considered: Jimmy Butler, Marc Gasol.
At #18 overall, we're thinning on upper-echelon superstars. From my standpoint, a healthy Paul George is a top-10 NBA player. Top-notch perimeter defender, jumped big from year 2 to years 3 and 4, showed a clutch gene in the playoffs and continues to grow offensively.

ROUND 2
Player Selected: Al Horford, PF.
Player(s) Considered: N/A.
Horford was my guy here, criminally underrated on both ends of the floor for what he does in ATL. Not a rim protector but stout with individual defense. Can shoot mid-range and space the floor.

ROUND 3
Player Selected: Kyle Lowry, PG.
Player(s) Considered: Brandon Knight, Jeff Teague.
Love his tenacity, plays with an edge. Adequate in the P&R game, although he often looks to get his own offense. Despite his height, defends with aggression.

ROUND 4
Player Selected: Avery Bradley, SG.
Player(s) Considered: Markieff Morris, Robin Lopez.
Perhaps a bit early, but he's one of the better perimeter defenders in the game. Can shoot the three fairly well.

ROUND 5
Player Selected: Enes Kanter, C.
Player(s) Considered: Brandan Wright, Nikola Pekovic, Wilson Chandler.
Hesitated to select Kanter, he's a turnstile on defense but will work well with Lowry in the P&R game. Not worth the max deal he got from OKC, but he can score and rebound among the best in the conference.

ROUND 6
Player Selected: Alex Len, C.
Player(s) Considered: Mason Plumlee.
The Kanter selection forced me to insure him with a rim protector. Defensively, Kanter is a liability at the end of games when protecting a lead. Len blocks a ton of shots and can be a double-double machine in due time.

Defense was my priority. "Thibs" would be my ideal HC, but I could live without the snail's pace offensively. As a starting five, my team shoots the ball pretty well with moderate floor spacing. In hindsight I would have liked to do better with my Round 4 pick.

If this was real life.

I'd probably consider starting Len over Kanter... Kanter's offense would help a second unit, but his just utterly disgusting defense would hurt your Starting defense to the point that his offense gets watered down, even though you have a few good defenders. Also with Lowry, George & Horford, can take some pressure off the young guy (Len)

Or stagger Kanter's minutes so he's at least half & half with 1st & 2nd unit.

Same.

I hope Donovan feels the same way, Adams should start.

There are certain priorities in this life... and Popeyes is one of them.

Take your time, sir.
