I'm hoping Crabs comes with some heat this season...for all 19 games...You read that right. They are gonna play 19 games this season!
 
Doing some roster breakdown...

Only 10 players on the Raiders have > 5 years experience: Woodson, Janikowski, Barnes, Tuck, Condo, Alexander, Penn, Reece, Lofton, Crabtree
11 players with 4-5 years of experience: D. Williams, N. Allen, Asante, Webb, Howard, Hudson, Helu Jr., T. Jones, L. Smith, M. Smith, A. Holmes.

32 of the 53 players on the Raiders roster are from the 2012 draft class or later (not counting Watson & DeBose... both are on IR).
25 of the 32 players have ONLY played for the Raiders organization during their NFL careers.

The 7 young players the Raiders have signed/claimed:
Neiko Thorpe (UDFA, 2012 - KC)
Matt McCants (6th round, 2012 - NYG)
Jamize Olawale (UDFA, 2012 - DAL)
Lavar Edwards (5th round 2013 - TEN)
Benson Mayowa (UDFA, 2013 - SEA)
Ray-Ray Armstrong (UDFA, 2013 - STL)
Keenan Lambert (UDFA, 2015 - SEA)

Reggie McKenzie took over the Raiders in 2012. Considering he had no picks in 2012 & that the 2013 class was one of the worst classes of all time, that's not bad.

This team is about two years away from being a home grown organization with minimal free agents.

Aldon and Mack? You guys might have the best young pass rush combo in the NFL now.
 
Not only did we sign him...but depending on  his conditioning and barring any setbacks from the NFL he's eligable to play on Sunday lol

Aldon has nine lives. He'll wear silver and black well. A steal for Reggie and company.

As a Raider fan I'm so confused because this is making so much sense. How many games is Smith sitting? Is the Raiders D-line top 15 on paper?

Top 15? More like top 3 if Aldon and Mack play to their potential with Jelly Ellis inside in base.

Aldon will wreck shop in the Raiders 4-3. Norton just found his Leo.

Love this signing. I was tellin my niner friends how dumb it was to let him go. They was like naw good riddance. Dude has so much talent. Hope the organization is ready to install a support team for him...
 
Going to the Ravens game in two weeks. 

A smart move to sign him the weekend of the start of the season.

We likely won't see a suspension/ruling for a few weeks.

Hopefully, the pre season kinda gave me iffy feelings about it. But he's still young so if he progresses nicely with this defense then so be it :smokin

our corners are young ...and lack playing time ....JDR and Reggie rather home groom our CB, rather then overpaid for decent corner ....we be arite...
