Was very happy with the team especially the d after theu settled in.

Arent the rams supposed to be a top d this year? We pretty much got anything we wanted

Don't think all the StL starters played. Unless our line ate Aaron Donald and Chris Long lol i did see Robert Quinn.

Our OLine is much better than expexted.
Our depth at every offensive position is incredible.
As we all talked about, DB's are our biggest concern. Hopefully our DLine can help them out.
Not entirely sold on our LB core, but it can'tbe worst than last season.
Del Rio goingfor 2 after every TD was dope.

Lots of teams need QB's, I wonder if the Raiders are taking calls for McGloin or Ponder...

I think our LBs are going to be nice. We have a nice stack of them and someone like Ben Heeney is going to crack the starting rotation.

I only watched the starters then kind of jus had it on the background. Can never really get a feel til that 3rd pre season game. Liking the WR core tho.

Very happy with the showing. Only good thing about our weakness being our dbs is that our line should be able help them out

Front 7 :smokin
Offense :smokin

Secondary seemed to calm down and play better after the first drive. Still the biggest area of concern though.

For those of you on Twitter:

The guys who got that pic of Trent missing the gap is @blackhanside. He's really, really good with his analysis and he's worth following. Die hard Raider fan.

does he have a website? I don't know how to read twitter.

He doesn't, he puts all his stuff on Twitter and Vine. I'll make sure to post the good stuff in here.

Walford is injured again. CJDR won't say if it's related to his previous injury he had at the start of camp.

oh Trent...lol
this is horrible play analysis. its obvious its a 11 personnel power bob O run. its a GAP aka power aka man on man scheme. you can see the guard pulling and the center blocking down. the play was designed to go exactly where trent was going.

First thing that came to my mind too when I seen the video, but the point being he is fighting for a roster spot and he needed that TD. Don't matter if you follow the pulling guard or not, you gotta make split second adjustments.

yes, trent is garbage, but i was specifically referring to that guy saying "where he supposed to go".

no, it was not supposed to go there and its obvious.

The reaction to the Trent pic is just a case of people wanting to **** on Trent because we'll he's Trent.

Still image doesnt tell story. There was nothing there for him, weak side LB is just out of the picture and like mentioned the play was designed to follow the pulling guard anway.

Trent was probably the last person at fault.

Yeah that play was not on Trent, the internet is funny.

I was doing roster analysis and I'm at 41 guaranteed spots with 33 players in consideration for the last 12 spots. Way more depth than we've ever had

53 of the 90 players have only played for the Raiders in their career.
54 & 55 = C. Wood & Chimdi Chekwa, originally drafted by Oak, left in FA and returned to Oak.
56 & 57 = M. Reece & Jon Condo; signed with PS for other squads when they were undrafted FAs, but have spent majority of career on Oakland's 53.

That leaves only 33 players who were not originally Raiders when they broke into the league:
QB (1): Ponder
RB/FB (3): Richardson/Helu/Olawale
WR (5): Crabtree/Holmes/Thompkins/Durham/Holiday
TE (1): L. Smith
OL (6): Penn/Hudson/Barnes/McCants/Webb/Howard

DL(5): D. Williams/Wilson/Tuck/Lumpkin/Mayowa
LB(4): Lofton/M. Smith/Armstrong/Miller
CB(3): Ras-I Dowling/Thorpe/Dockery
S(3): Allen/Asante/Ross

ST(3): Clark (P) / Tavecchio (K)

Almost 2/3 of the roster is home grown. We're 2-3 more years of solid drafting away from having a core like the Packers do.

I hope we do cut McGroin so we don't have to hear about him ever again

He looks like Peyton Manning of the Preseason
