Chinese woman dies on escalator saving her son....vol jesus christ china

That elevator vid was hard to watch. Crosses China off the list of places to visit. There are certain things you just don't cut corners with in manufacturing. You will never catch me on a Chinese plane.

What they specialize in is cutting corners. Peep the back of your Chinese restaurant. They don't give a F

So should we avoid the stairs as well? Damn shame being so reckless with peoples lives like that :smh:

More ppl die from stair falls than escalators and elevators combined....multiplied by like 12. Not even bs'ing either.

Not a good way to die. This is why I always avoid those steel covered holes in the ground on the street and side walks. Those things look like it could give out and I'll fall in.

Actually, a circle is the only shape that won't fall through itself, so you're good.

All my tools are made in the U.S.A.

Well, most of them.

Probably not going to try to be watching this when I get back from the gym...

RIP

I wasn't even referring to the circle ones, u ever seem those big openings in the ground covered by a gate looking thing? I forget what they are called. I avoid them I think it's gonna fall thru.

Won't lie to you, I thought that's what you meant, but I've been waiting to pull out that cool little fact for a while.

Well, most people don't have escalators in their homes, so it would stand to reason there would be more accidents involving stairs.

Very sad stuff.

As a kid I watched a movie called The Kiss. There's a part where a girl drops her lipstick on an escalator and then gets her necklace caught in it somehow. It pulls her to the top and kills her in a violent fashion. I'm still weird about escalators because of it.

I have no idea where my parents were.

Don't know how things work in that country, but somebody needs to be sued the hell out of.

Would be traumatized for awhile if I had to watch that ish happen.

Feel bad for the kid man

No stairs or escalators in China. Hell, I'd only go in single story buildings. Them stairs might be fugazi too

China is still heavily reliant on Airbus and Boeing planes for commercial travel. You're fine.

A lot of countries around the world have the same problem when it comes to cutting corners. The middle East is full of these from bridges to walls :smh:

Looks like China`s back at it again, dude thankfully only lost his leg this time in Shanghai...

Goodness :smh:

Why don't these things have an automatic shut off? Ridiculous
Regulation codes are nonexistent, man.

I work in safety and there are a lot of agencies in the states that watch the industries ie OSHA, FDA, CDC, NIOSH, etc.

When you step into countries where codes or enforcement is lacking, anything goes sadly.
