Purchased these from The Sneaker Authority back in 2011. I've always heard mixed things about the retailer, and people I've asked locally have been split on whether or not these are fakes. I honestly can't tell myself, and any input would be appreciated.

Part of think these are fake the patent leather looks high, widows peak ,23 looks stretched

Shoes are a bit suspicious, but this release had issues for sure..Snap a few clear pix of the box top, box label, pull out an insole if you wish and snap a pic of inside the shoe and anything else you think might be helpful..

Didn't have the benefit of having natural light but I think these should be good enough. The blue text was a faded on the first shoe, but you can make out the "2009". I checked the second shoe and it said "20090628".

The missing price tag on the box label and the conspicuous indentation around the "jordan jumpman" wording on the box sleeve are a red flag to me. Anyone else?

Dumb question...I'm so lost on how to tell fake from authentic, besides the obvious things, but what does pulling out an insole show?? Look for something underneath?? Thanks in advance.

There are no dumb questions here. We are all here to help and learn from each other. No one should ever be hesitant to ask questions in the LC forum. We all want to be sure of what we have, that's what this forum is for. Some of us are new, some of us have been around. Either way, we are all here because we like our shoes and those of our fellow enthusiasts to be the real deal.

Appreciate it jmikele. Do u know what to look for underneath the insole??? Also what are u supposed to look for on the back of the shoe???

Here's an awesome guide for 2009 SJ's that I reference. It gives a quick breakdown from each vantage point.

I'm not too sure on what others look for under the insole. Like I said, we are all here to learn and I'm still learning myself.

Thanks to @from88til  for making that post. From what I've seen, he along with @TIMMYBRIXXX  and @RickyRiebel  are on point with their LC's. Always reference the legit guides and don't hesitate to ask questions. Heck, I'm sure that that 2009 SJ thread was partially made so I would stop asking mine lol

The size tag or box sticker don't look too good, plus does the upc match the box's? Post a pic of the shoes if possible

I am on the fence with these. The rectangular indentation around the 'jumpman Jordan' on the top of the box is already a red flag. The yellowing is also barely visible. When the insoles were taken out, did they come out easy or did you have to rip those suckers out?

These are fakes IMO. Midsoles are off, PL cut is higher than it should be, collars are too thick, shape doesn't look right

Yep they were glued in. I had a pretty hard time removing them cause I thought I was gonna damage the shoe.
