Would you step in the Octagon with Rousey?

I would, still aint buying her hype.

Fairly new sport for women.

Aint like there's a bunch of comp.

Not to mention Dana didn't even want her in the sport and now he's actin like she's the best thing since sliced bread.

ALL HYPE

I'd beat the brakes of that *****.

hahaha if you don't actually train mma i think you would get washed.

I might, but I wouldn't be shook to enter the cage with her

Aint had a fight since I was 23 no dambz given.

Absolutely did. Do the fights these days not prove the same thing though?

Yes but in a completely different sense. Dudes before came in with no game plan, no clue who they're fighting, just all personal skill and adaptation. These guys now pretty much fight all the same way and have the fight film to plan an attack. I'm not taking anything away from the guys now but it's NOT the same game

Royce :pimp: that's when UFC was the **** now it sucks balls
I understand why someone wouldn't like mma today but back then there was hair pulling, no gloves, groin kicks and no judges or rounds? That's what you really prefer? No thanks

Royce showed the world how to defend and beat your opponent in real life street situations :smokin

Royce is that dude but very few, if any, "street situations" involve a one on one in 25 feet of open space

I guess can't really argue your points, I mean if you guys enjoy that dynamic more I can't disagree with your taste

Only thing that is incorrect IMO is that everyone now fights the same. That's not accurate at all, just not as one dimensional as back then (which was bound to happen)

Only reason why I'm like whatever with UFC now is because it changed so damn much.

I rather see an Ultimate Fighting Championship ...

See these dudes have to fight their way to thru 3 or 4 openents a night.

No weight classes or nothing just the baddest ***.

I dig it. I wouldn't mind that either tbh as far as weight classes

or hell, just make like 3 weight classes 130 to 160, 161 to 190, 191 and up

To make it fair, if you are 155 on weight and and 161 on fight night, you automatically are moved up to the next bracket so it wouldn't be so unfair to be 130 fighting a dude 178 because he hydrated. That's of course if you believe in weight classes.

I mean of course people play into their own strengths but the philosophy of MMA is pretty much all the same today. MMA essentially has become its own discipline

A 30lb difference in weight could be the difference between a ko and murder

oh really? Damn I didn't see all them murders being committed back in the original UFC ..

Again, I'm talking about UFC before vs now .. I much prefer the older format ... Iean in regards to tourney still and no weight classes. Just go out there and win.

ineno, my bad.

That's still a pretty dangerous game to play imo.

you're one of those guys that says fights don't usually end up on the ground either right? not really sure what you're trying to say lol

I never said that. I do know that most start on the feet though.

And I do think whatever percentage of fights that's it's suggested end up on the ground is overstated because I don't even know how you'd calculate such a thing.

You start trying to finesse chokes and submissions on the ground in a "street situation" and you might just get your head stomped by somebody.

If you take Krav Maga and you're training for a "street situation", with multiple attackers, it's on your feet and constantly MOVING and striking.

What I'm trying to say is even the old UFC or Pride rules, with groin strikes, soccer kicks etc. in a RING, are not really comparable to the sheer chaos of "street situations".

people always love you in that L column is empty. It's in her's and all others best interest that she not only keeps fighting, but keeps winning. Is she anybody special if say in her next fight she gets reclined?

Lol... @ the dweebs who are legit scared of chick with some toned muscles ... A woman's strength could never match a mans strength unless your like 140 pds, well the majority of NT wear skinny jeans and joggers *edit* and fly knits */edit* so I can see how half of you guys would get washed by her... If any of you trained for 3 months and got in shape you should wash her pretty quick.

LOL

i mean...it would be a story and a rematch.
