How old is too old to kiss your child?

This applies more to parents on NT.

My boy and his wife had their son late last year. I don't see a problem with them giving their child a pec on the lips etc.

I saw this pic of AP recently and didn't think anything of it either, until someone side commented "Why is he kissing his son?".

So, for those with young kids, is this still something you do or was there an age when you felt it was wrong to do? Does you and your child being the same sex also factor into it?

The kissing your kids on the lips thing has always been weird to me. I feel the same way about breast feeding a kid older then 1-2 years old

Some cultures are different. I can't say how old is too old for some people but for me I'd say I stopped kissing my daughter on the lips when she was about 3. I don't kiss my son like that though but my wife does, I kiss him on the top of his head or forehead.

I'd like to know when kissing on the lips became more of a sexual form of affection though.

Didn't mean to make it specifically about kissing on the lips. This applies to kissing on the forehead/cheek EDIT: as well.

I have never kissed my father or mother one the lips. Maybe when i was a newborn but nothing besides that.

When I have kids I will ALWAYS kiss them but kissing on the lips will stop at a very young age like 3. Foreheads/cheeks are forever, b.

The real question is why is anyone questioning a black father and son relationship???

This. That's his son that he clearly loves to the fullest. That's their family structure. Let them do what they do.

Other cultures kiss complete strangers on the lips. Who are we to judge.

My daughter is 3.

I used to kiss her on the lips forever.

Now that she's talkin and coming into her own I don't.

Don't ask me why it just stopped.

She will forever get cheek kisses from her daddy until the day I die.

I kiss and hug all three of my boys on the forehead/cheek. I never thought anything of it. I don't do the lips at all.

my son is about to be 13 and I still kiss him, I love my kids to death and I see nothing wrong with it.

Its a peck, thats it.

In my eyes, people who think this is nasty probably have never loved a child or have issues.
