2015 NFC North Trash Talk Thread: GB loses Div Rd, MIN loses WC Rd, DET/CHI N/A

Oh so I guess the Seahawks player batting the ball out should have given the ball back to the lions.
Isn't getting screwed in Seattle fun?

Caldwell reminds me of Leslie Frazier. Every time i see them they're literally doing nothing. Frazier at least looked like he was coming up with some sort of master plan even though he wasn't. Caldwell just stands there breathing out of his mouth.

Would have never thought the Lions would be worse than the Bears.
Lions the only winless team in the league

Speechless on how we can only move the ball when there are 2 min or less on the clock. These guys cant coach themselves out of a nutsack other than TA. Our best player just tried to do too much(which i would take 100 times out of 100) and it backfired. Even tho we should have had the ball at the goaline.. You just cant fumble there. Typical lions. Is Caldwell on the hotsest? Im not a fan of firing coaches early in their tenure but with this offense and how the defense played today to only muster up another 3 points + the 12 last week and the 16 the week before? And arizona coming to Det coming off a loss? Yeaaaa 0-5 is inevitable. Dont even know if we can beat the bears

Honestly though what is stopping the Lions from 12-4?

Firing Lombardi and maybe Caldwell...Something big has to change now if they want to salvage this season. The Defense showed up last night, our offense has too many weapons to just be stagnant like this. I say fire Caldwell and make Teryl Austin interim coach, he's the only one that's been doing his job

I don't think Caldwell is great but firing a coach for performance 4 games into a season after he went 11-5 would be idiotic.

Lombardi gotta go though.

You probably right about Caldwell, at this moment at least. I'm just not seeing real leadership or good decision making from him. He been adamant about not taking play calling duties from Lombardi when everybody is seeing the offense sputtering. We gotta do something NOW. We can still be 10-6 and sneak in the playoffs if we make a change or 2.

If we won last night 9-7 was still very possible with how the schedule breaks.

I'm still not giving up til they get to 8 losses.

That was the best drive of Matt Stafford's career given the situation. Hopefully he can build on it

Personally I think this thing needs to be blown up now.  We drafted Stafford 7 years ago and we are no closer to a SB now than we were then. Stafford out, Mayhew out, Caldwell, Lewand out. Trade CJ for picks if possible. Time to start over....again.

I don't quite think Stafford needs to go. The coaches he has had have all been trash.

This front office though needs to go and the coaches. We need to hire a good coach, this team has hired **** since I can remember.

This staff, Caldwell and Lombardi particular, are ******* horrible. Stafford and our offense is the best when we are opening up the passing game and working the ball down the field. This staff has castrated him and focused on safe plays, that doesn't work for this team. When we are throwing damn screens and can't get it to our play makers, we are playing into defenses hands. Teams crowd the line of scrimmage because all of our pass plays are short routes, this is part of the reason we can't run the ball either. Yes our O-Line sucks, but they shouldn't suck that bad, and the play calling is magnifying these problems.

As I have said since last year, Lombardi doesn't know ****, his plays suck, he doesn't know how to call a game. Caldwell can't see it either, so both of them need to pack up and get the hell out of Detroit.

What the.. let Stafford go? Crazy! He has been the best QB for the Lions since I can remember. Do you not remember Joey Harrington, Kitna, Batch, Peete, Jeff Garcia, hell even Scott Mitchell doesn't compare to Stafford. Going 0-4 and now fans are in full panic mode. The problem with this year's Lions is the pathetic running game and the obvious play calling. Yes it's cool to rotate players on every single down, but at least change the play calling. It's like they have select plays for select personnel and it doesn't take a genius to know what play is going to be called when certain players are in the lineup. As long as the Lions beat Green Bay at least once this year, and sweep the Bears... that's a good year in my book!
