2015 NFC North Trash Talk Thread: GB loses Div Rd, MIN loses WC Rd, DET/CHI N/A

Because you somehow think that he will flourish enough to become DPOY in the first year after leaving Detroit...

... and you believe Detroit won't be majorly impacted by his departure.

at da same damn time. that's why.
Yeah that does sound a bit odd once you break it down like that.

Lions defense will still be good dont forget we have Tulloch back! He was a MAJOR loss last year and we were still good. Suhs departure hurts the Defense but with tulluch back, we have a leader and a elite defense still. And having the Same DC another year in a row will def help!

Dudes out here "yeah but" when I posted without comment.

It was to show the pace Matthew Stafford is on. His attempts are surely sky high palms to the sky.

Edit: Stafford has 2,626 pass attempts in just the last four seasons (2011-2014). :wow:

Cobb Injury Not Believed to be Serious
Saturday, August 29

Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reported Cobb's teammates believe the injury to be just a sprain. The Packers have yet to release a statement regarding the specifics of the injury.

ESPN's Rob Demovsky stated that Cobb went up for a catch and came down with his "right arm hanging".

Rapoport added that a broken collarbone is not one of the concerns for Cobb.

Anything standout good or bad for the Vikas yesterday jpzx jpzx ? I'm recording the replay right now to watch later.

Hoping Teddy can remain this efficient in the regular season. I think he will be, but finishing drives with TDs seems to be an issue I've noticed.

Blair has been messing up. Missed a bunch of PATs & FGs this pre-season. Hope he gets it together for the regular season

it wont be an issue because AP will be in the backfield

I wouldn't say it won't be an issue, but AP will definitely help. Hopefully you're right though. Not trying to settle for FG's with Blair's inconsistecy. That guy is gonna stress me out this season.

AP, the TEs, and Wr screens. we will be in the endzone alot

Lions fan coming out of the shadows. Starting to get concerned the Vikes are putting together a decent team. The Packers are gonna do their thing and the Bears, well are the Bears.

What does that even mean "the Bears, well are the Bears?"

Like I'll fully admit the Bears will most likely suck this year but dont act like the Bears are some sort of running joke in the NFC North when your squad hasnt won the Division since 1993 and hasnt even won a single playoff game since 91. :wow: :smh:

I'm guessing he just means the Bears as in their current state...They blow.

What does anything you just typed have to do with the 2015 Detroit Lions

The 2015 Chicago Bears are one of the worst teams in the NFL

I never said that anything I just wrote had to do with 2015 (even though I definitely believe that you Lions fans are overhyping you team beyond reason right now, but that's neither here nor there). If dude just wrote "the Bears will suck this year" or "the Bears will be in last place" I wouldnt have even responded.

But when you write something like "Team X, well is Team X" you are implying an extended period of a sustained lack of success. Like if this was an AFC North trash talking thread and we were a bunch of Ravens/Steelers/Bengals fans talking **** you could get away with saying "The Browns, well are the Browns. Or "The ********, well are the ********" in an NFC East thread.

But you can't really make that joke about the Bears. Especially as a fan of the Lions, who are pretty much the red headed step child of the NFC north.

Real talk the Bears haven't accomplished **** in 30 years and I've seen the Lions win as many championships as the Bears have in my lifetime.

Real talk the only team in this division that can throw shade is the Packers

I seriously don't remember the last time the Bears beat the Lions 2012 maybe?

Ok bro. Forgetting about history for a second. The Bears have won the NFC North twice this decade. The Lions? 0. The Bears have reached the Superbowl and the NFC Championship during that same span. The Lions? Havent won a single playoff game in my lifetime.

I'm sorry to interrupt your preseason euphoria. I'll go back to letting all of yall set yourselves up for disappointment with your preseason 12-4 assessments.

Do you get a ring for winning the NFC North?

Do they throw a parade?

The Lions could go 16-0 and unless a trophy comes from it what have you really accomplished?

In my lifetime the Bears have won as many championships as Lions.

Only team I accept shade from in this division is the Packers
