2015 NFC North Trash Talk Thread: GB loses Div Rd, MIN loses WC Rd, DET/CHI N/A

Somebody needs to be fired

I have no idea what to think about Stafford at this point but he probably won't make it through the year anyways with all these hits he's taking

@ttwentyman: The #Lions have fired OC Joe Lombardi, OL coach Jeremiah Washburn and OL assistant Terry Heffernan. TE coach Ron Prince takes over the OL. Devin Fitzsimmons takes over TEs.

@AdamSchefter: Lions new offensive coordinator is the team's QB coach Jim Bob Cooter.

@ttwentyman: Caldwell is about to speak and the expectation is for Stafford and Manny Ramirez to also talk. After that not sure on availability.

@davebirkett: Add assistant OL coach Terry Heffernan as the third Lions assistant fired by the team today.

Three assistants?

Caldwell was probably told to make a change or he would be gone as well.

I agree he should have been fired to. Either way at the end of the year he will be gone, thankfully

Sully might not return this year

John Sullivan had a relapse in the weight room about 10 days ago, Mike Zimmer said. Had another surgery; Vikings don't know if he'll return.

Losing Sully for the season really hurts, especially we missing Loadholt already. This incoming draft. we need to get Lineman

Between John Sullivan and Shariff Floyd it's been an awful couple of days for Vikings injury updates.

Season is well capped at a Wild Card one-and-done at best if this is the best version of an offensive line we'll see the rest of the year. That's not factoring in any injuries that could occur from now until the end of the year obviously too.

Chris Tomasson @christomasson
Minnesota Vikings LB Eric Kendricks has been named October’s NFL Defensive Rookie of the Month.

#Vikings defensive tackle Tom Johnson has stepped in as a starter and vows to be dominate. https://t.co/zt6s53LUhX

Who we drafting #1?

If Martin Mayhew is still our GM, we will draft some scrub that will be out of the league in a couple years.

This team is really really really bad. Coaches need to be fired, GM needs to be fired.

I can't believe Mayhew says the Lions would be buyers at the trade deadline, that guy is a damn fool

Man I knew those 12-4, 11-5 division champs preseason predictions were gonna blow up in Lions fans faces, but I was not expecting it to be nearly this disastrous.

Your reverse psychology worked :smh:
We gave that game away at the end.

If only Langford makes that catch :smh:

Kinda hoping thats what it could be, but honestly was not feeling a W the first series in.

Ill take it, of course, but damn...I want Teddy to breakout already. He played like ****. Last drive was 50/50 luck and making things happen though, so silver linings, I suppose.

3-0 in the division. Good things happen when you take care of that.

if Matt Cassel or Christian Ponder was our QB, do we win that game yesterday? Teddy was 7-10 111 yards and a TD in the last few minutes of that game. he was awful for 3.5 quarters but came through when it mattered

Vikings expectations were to sneak into the Wild Card. Next 6 games is a brutal stretch that would give many teams in this league issues. But personally I think they already got past what was going to make or break them, the first 7 games. Anything less than a 5-2 start wouldn't have allowed them the opportunity for going .500 the rest of the season to be enough to make the WC. Falcons might have a big enough cushion to make. Leaving the Vikings with a 2 game lead on the Hawks, Saints, and Rams.

Tho I still think it's the packers division to win, I think the Vikings can set their sights a lil higher than the wild card at this moment in week 8..

Only a game begind and still gotta play the packers twice so the division is open imo.

I like the Vikings recipe, legit defense that's disruptive up front and flies to the rock with a stud playing center field. Offense that leans on a strong running game and makes timely plays.

Pleasantly surprised by Minnesota, Zimmer is a year ahead of where most thought he'd be.
