2015 NFC North Trash Talk Thread: GB loses Div Rd, MIN loses WC Rd, DET/CHI N/A

Dave Birkett @davebirkett
James Ihedigbo, Eric Ebron, Brandon Pettigrew, Haloti Ngata, DeAndre Levy, Joique Bell and Corey Robinson inactive for Lions today

Brad Biggs @BradBiggs
#Bears inactives: Antrel Rolle, Shea McClellin, Jermon Bushrod, Terrance Mitchell, Antone Smith, Bruce Gaston, Nick Becton.

Matt Vensel @mattvensel
Full list of #Vikings inactives: QB Heinicke, WR Johnson, CB Price, C Easton, TE Ford, DE Trattou, DE Griffen.

Matt Vensel @mattvensel
Everson Griffen is inactive today. #Vikings say he has an illness.

Matt Vensel @mattvensel
#Vikings wide receiver Charles Johnson is also inactive today.

Matt Vensel @mattvensel
My guess is that Stefon Diggs would start for Johnson at split end. But that's just a guess. #Vikings

Brad Biggs @BradBiggs
#Lions will be without top 2 TEs today: Brandon Pettigrew & Eric Ebron both out.

Dave Birkett @davebirkett
The Lions have 1 TE on their active roster, Tim Wright. Pettigrew was added to the injury report last night with a knee injury

Dave Birkett @davebirkett
Ihedigbo inactive also a bit of a surprise. Sounded like he was going to go this week

Tim Twentyman @ttwentyman
Isa Abdul-Quddus will start at SS for the #Lions.

Tim Twentyman @ttwentyman
Riddick is active and will play.

Adam Jahns @adamjahns
New #Bears DT Bruce Gaston (a St. Rita product) will not play. He's inactive.

Brad Biggs @BradBiggs
#Bears rookie Eddie Goldman will start in place of Ego Ferguson, who was placed on IR yesterday.

I'm fully on the Conner Cook bandwagon.

That's a shame.

Refs doing their best to give this game to us [emoji]128514[/emoji][emoji]128514[/emoji][emoji]9994[/emoji][emoji]127998[/emoji]

:smh:

I've never seen a season plagued and marred with such horrible officiating.....not just this game but league wide! This ***** is ridiculous.

Lions with the most total yards by any team this year but 5 quarters is a lot.

Bro we had one of the worst offenses in the league and the Bears had been a solid defense.

Still off the wagon but that was a hell of a response by Stafford.

He's gonna be really good for the Texans in 2 years

So Lions' bros, looking at our schedule 7-9 or even 9-7 is possible.

Lets say they go 7-9 or 8-8 but the offense start clicking do we fire everybody? Say they go 9-7 on pure luck and the offense still looks bad what do we do then?

6-0 :pimp:

Offense been struggling tho smh. Losing jordy affected the offense more than it seems.

Anything less than a playoff win get rid of everyone. I don't care how Stafford looked today it doesn't erase his total body of work. So unless he leads us to a playoff win, something we haven't seen 24 years, blow it up.

Man playoff wins are really overrated.

Midas well say Super Bowl or bust.

Edit playoff wins are overrated unless a Super Bowl comes from it.

Bro you were predicting 12-4 this season. Maybe sit a couple plays out.

Refs + Bears play calling today though

...

This dude Cutler has won you 2 games in a row by being lights out when we have needed him to. In part, he was able to do so because the Bears D got him the ball back in the 4th quarter.

Then we have the chance to put the game away up 4 at the end of regulation with a first down or 2, we do the same **** that the Chiefs did to us last week and run it 3x in a row give Detroit the ball back with a chance to win it. Then after we got lucky with Cutler leading a flawless drive in 21 seconds to tie the game up with a field goal, we pull the same conservative bull **** in OT.

I get being conservative. It's Fox's style, but **** you gotta put the ball in Cutler's hands and allow him to make plays in order to win games. He has been lights out. That's what happened the last 2 weeks and that is what happened today but it's like fox is scared to put the ball in his hands unless we are coming from behind. First we dont go for it on 4th and an inch, and then we hand it to Forte twice more in a row while he is going absolutely nowhere every time for a 3 and out.  There is no way the Bears should have lost today. They gave it away because Fox absolutely refused to go for the win (with a lot of help from the officiating but whatever it was still winnable).

I know this team is unlikely to go anywhere this season, and it is difficult to complain about what has been fantastic coaching after the Trestman/Mel Tucker experience, but damn this team had a chance to be at .500 riding a 3 game wining streak into the bye week and they completely allowed the game to slip away.

On the flip side, the Lions did everything they could to let the Bears win the game, and somehow came out on top

I really don't see the Lions going 9-7 or even 7-9, we still make dumbass plays that bad teams do.
