Why does THE GAME name drop so much?

I just listened to "100" featuring Drake and this man has about 42 name drops in one verse. From 50 to Suge to Blu Davinci...why?

This opened my eyes to the fact that he does this in almost every song for the last couple years :smh:

Anyone else noticed this?

truthfully it often times ruins his music for me its so pointless it's liek he doesn't know how to rhyme words without another grown mans name sprinkled in there for no reason
 
It's crazy cause dude can actually rap but it's like he has too name drop everybody so we can kno he's in the in crowd or something

it was so annoying.

dude was obsessed with dr dre.

i bet dre never even knew who he was when he was younger.

The difference is it's slight, it's not as blatant as when Game does it.

iIs a crutch. Some rappers default to a basic tendency to create bars.
Some rappers have them. For Game, its easy to throw someones name in a rhyme to push foward.
Here's another example of a crutch:


Lil Wayne:
Im runnin this **** like....
Life is a *****....
Eat a ***** like.....

i really don't know why people are so bothered by this, all of your favorite rappers have named dropped in the past. from Biggie, to Jay-Z to 50 Cent. maybe it's because this man can never get the respect he deserves in hip hop.

I don't think so. He does it excessively.
