HBO - Vinyl (Season 1) thread Vol. The King and I 3/27

Well that finale was underwhelming lol. May not even watch season 2 smh
That finale was like just another ep :smh:

Almost felt like the season was just turning a corner with the way the story lines just kept progressing.

Went from Richie scared to death of going to prison to now he's an informant and purposely made his label even more mobbed up than before

That dude who killed Buck was annoying so it was good to see him gone.

Nice deal for the black guy.

Only thing I ended up liking watching the rest of these eps was the song the white boy got to play in the underground parties/clubs in the hood :smokin

Other than the introduction of

the finale and overall tone of the series has been lackluster. Although the acting is on point, it just feels like something's missing or not quite there, or at least as of yet. Will still tune in next season cause the show's premise still has me intrigued.

5.8/8

Not surprised, I stopped watching about the mid way point. Just wasn't holding my attention anymore.

The pilot episode was brutal. I dont know how HBO thought that would have enticed viewers to stay for the season.

Without Vinyl, all i have on HBO now is GoT and Silicon Valley until Westworld premieres

Peace out to seeing Olivia Wilde and a few other fine chicks naked on a weekly basis.

I was sorta interested in the idea of a new showrunner and completely revamping the show for S2 but when I heard the news it was cancelled I was like ok seems they smartened up.

Canceled.

This was next in the binge watch queue. I know it got some bad reviews, but was it really that bad? Still might give it a watch.
It wasn't that bad. I couldn't list a bunch of stuff that was bad. Just some key critcisms.

It just wasn't good enough. Word to most all agreeing there was something with the show.

never made it past the first episode...

had high hopes for this but ish was BORING AS HELL..

westworld looks dope.

Thats a limited series I think but if first ep is good enough in sure it'll get it's own thread.

The way HBO cycles it's shows there's no need to make one big new show thread. Most of the good ones already have threads on NT.

Speaking of The Night Of, the first part is available on demand and I assume on HBOGo for anybody who wants to catch it early.

You know a show is bad when HBO gives it the axe after one season. Guess I didn't miss anything by not watching it.

Wait didnt they renew this show for another season earlier in the yr & now its cancelled?

Life comes at you fast

I was so hyped for this show & man episode after episode it was such a letdown

Yeah man, I found out on vaca and didn't think it was true.

‘Vinyl’ Canceled: HBO Makes Its Music-Biz Drama a One-Hit Wonder

I wouldn't even say it was a one-hit wonder  very disappointed and letdown. I didn't even finish the season and I'm a big HBO stan.

Master Zik Master Zik thanks for the heads up for The Night Of being available early.
