Saturday morning cartoons

Remember when you were a kid and you would wake up early on Saturdays just so you could watch cartoons while everyone in your house slept? There was no such thing as DVR so you had to be up to catch a new episode unless you recorded it on VHS tape. Those were the good days

Do kids these days even do that anymore with everything being on demand
 
I have lil cousins and they do actually still do that lol.

Just different cartoons and different channels.
 
They got rid of saturday morning cartoons on non cartoon channels which don't even count to me since they show cartoons damn near 24/7
 
Been doing that all AM with my kids.

But no, I don't think the ritual is the same because it mostly looks like the same **** we can see any other time.

I'm not exactly keeping track though so maybe I'm wrong.

Yeah part of the appeal as a kid was that KidsWB/Fox Kids had **** that you could only see on there.

But I'm sure kids today have something on CN or whatever channel that is appointment viewing for them on Saturday mornings, we just aren't paying attention to it anymore so we wouldn't know.

Feel bad for the kids who don't have cable though.

Teen Titans go is cool though. It makes tons of DC universe references that are appreciated in my book.

Young Justice wasn't cancelled for Teen Titans. Young Justice was cancelled because it didn't sell toys. Same with the GL animated series which was just as good
 
I feel sorry for these kids and their choice of cartoons these days. I show old cartoons to my daughter and she enjoys those more than these new ones.

She loves Bobby's World :lol:
 
Funny, I was just having this conversation with a buddy the other day. I remember setting my alarm to be up, and in front of the TV the second that color bar went away and cartoons started. Always a bummer around noon when the regular stuff started. It was like a big neon sign for you to go outside and play lol.
