My Mexico vacay! Tulum/Playa Del Carmen

Dope pics, your wife is gorgeous b. I've been considering getting a GoPro, just can't justify the price right now, especially knowing that I wouldn't use it THAT much.
 
A LOT of people sleep on the beauty of mexico.

Going to Playa Del Carmen my 3rd time next May.

I'm more bout that resort al inclusive life especially since i have kids.

But looks like you had a blast, i wanna get a buggy/atv next time.

You guys go xel ha?

I work in insurance and do kidnap and ransom coverage. Mexico is bad but mostly in the borders of the US or close to it. Steezy was way south and almost at Belize where it is totally safe or at least safer. Plus it is always advised that you stay within the resorts and use proper transportation or have a trusted guide. One of the big things that happen in bad areas of Mexico is called tiger kidnapping, which is when drivers pick up tourist and hold them hostage in a car. They then take them to an ATM and have them dump as much money as they can. Usually by the end of it, you lose just the limit of what you can withdrawal.

One day I'll save enough money to take my old lady on a trip like this. In the meantime, back to the hustle.

Hey fellas, for those concern about safety, don't be too concern, at least not in the can in area, like I said we split our stay between 3 days at a boutique hotel in tulum and the remaining 4 in an all inclusive in Playa Del Carmen....we rented a car at the airport and I drive myself from Cancun Intl to tulum which is 2 hours give or take, is literally 1 highway connecting Cancun, Playa and Tulum....once we got to tulum we were on our own as far as activities, went into town, biked to the ruins, walked their little strip drunk at like 2am in pitch darkness bar hopping....tulum is amazing and 80% filled with Americans and Europeans, you'll be safe....once our stay in tulum was over we got in the car and drive to playa which was about an hour drive and midway to cancun, on the way there we did one of the water parks, Xel-ha, they have a few, Xcaret and Xplor are two others, they all about the same thing, Dolphins, water activities in a crystal clear river, etc...people do these on tours, I enjoy fencing for myself...just a preference...after this we kept driving to Playa and checked in at the Royal....there we had the all inclusive experience in a very safe town as well, weekend was LIT, outdoor clubs, bars, people everywhere, music everywhere, food everywhere, on the last day I googled a sort of independent buggy tour and booked it, dude took us to a wild Cenote, only he had access to it, it was secluded as F and only accessible with Buggys or ATVs...lol...while there dude was telling us how they've come across Pumas, Coral
Snakes and one of his guests once got bit by a scorpion...lol not poisonous tho....still he was waving these things as a badge of honor, I was scared...not gonna lie...but it was DOPE...on the ride back we got caught in a crazy storm and were whipping the Buggys in the rain in the street....icing on the cake...lol

Only thing I'd say becareful for is the hustle, specially gas stations, I went to pump gas and only had 2 20's gave dude one, he hands is back a dollar and said that's what I had given, I wasn't sure but I didn't fight it, after the fact we did the math and realized we had no dollar bills....that's about the only L I took out there...oh yeah and the hookah is WEAKKKK!
 
How was the beach in playa? I heard they have been getting hammered with the seaweed/kelp down there lately. Wife and I were married at an all inclusive down there last year. The Yucatan peninsula is a beautiful place. :smokin

Seaweed made the beach unbearable, it smell and just looked filthy, the resort tried to keep it clean, but they were no match...
 
your pictures are awsome! ive been to mexico twice one to cancun and the other to cabo san lucas so im totally overdue for a mexican vaca!

Fly into Cancun, then like a 30-45 minute drive

Advice, watch out the scheme that the workers will try to pull especially Gas Station attendants

Story : My boys picked up my friend I at the airport. On the way to the condo we rented we stopped for gas at a gas station. When we paid the attendantm he pulled the switcharoo one of the bills and claimed we short changed him.
After arguing for about 10 minutes, we just decided to pay the difference. Then once we started talking to other tourist they told us that its a known scheme they do down there when it comes to tourist :smh:

Holy ***** dude they pulled that **** on us this morning on the way back to the airport! Handed this ahole 20$ and he claimed it was a 1$

Lesson learned, next time I'm making sure I take a video of what I'm handing them.
