Audiophiles: Bose QC 25 Worth it?

Heard these are basically the best noise cancellation headphones on the market.

I tried them on at Target and I literally thought I was in space b   

But I heard the sound quality is avg. Is it worth the $300?

tbh I dont mind too much about the sound quality. The noise cancellation is whats most important for me.

I bought a pair of mth-50x's a year ago and they have been flawless so far. Obviously a price of 150 vs $300 for bose is also a big deal. The bose will probably be the best in terms of noise canceling though hence the cost
