On the real how do you make money with drones

freelance photography/video

I'm going to start doing it myself as a side hustle

been talking to a few real estate agents, they know who to call if they need quality aerial camera work to market their properties

i wouldnt consider doing this as a startup though and once you have the drone i dont see what else you need funding for

In terms of selling them?

Drones have been in pretty high demand for film makers the past couple years. Professional ones can go for thousands.
true, custom built drones to the customers needs go for a lot of money. easily 8-10k for a good film setup

the drone in OP's picture is a prebuilt model that goes for 3.3k

Never seen an NTer get so much respect (2013 TAY days) and lose it so fast

It's starting to feel like goldstreet capital up in here
People respect dudes that brag about how many girls they get over the internet?

Wasn't bragging, dude use to just have the best posts in the thread

Ish was borderline erotica.

Still don't really understand OP's plan.. I have a quad copter and a car too.

My buddy does this now, here in OC/ LA. Went to CAL, one of the smartest people I know... BUT the business isn't super steady.

Yeah, there's no need for Angel Investors at all...

EWD, PM me. I was this close to working for Matterport, so this is right up my alley.

what type of drone does he use?

i dont see this being anything more than a hobby unless you invest in the 10k+ level drones and if you do that you need a team just to fly it

If u need a business partner PM I have capital. Willing to invest and put 100% work in if I get more details.

Easily one of the coolest Nupes on this site EWD let me know if I can do anything to help. Best of luck with the business Phi.

I'm kinda lost on what u plan on doing too. Could you provide more info w/o divulging too much sensitive info. U got cats in here w/ their notepads ready

Jokes aside, best of luck bruh. Chasing those dreams and living up to your user name, :pimp:

Ya boy worked for Dept. of Agriculture, incase you got a need for brothas with Computer Science degrees and knows the state/federal gov't side of things. :nerd:

Protip: Federal Government is very, very interested in food safety issues and is funneling money towards specific initiatives. :nerd: :nerd: :nerd:

It has to be used as an accessory. No one wants drone only footage in a video montage. And even if they do, they aren't going to pay you tons of money for it.

I know so many people doing this DSLR videography thing. Half are doing a good job while the other half have no clue what they are doing. I have a buddy that has gone corporate from it and works at a design firm and shoots for EA Sports, Sprite, etc but unless you are that guy having a corporations pay for you, making money off of this is hardly the "money bags" you are expecting. As a freelance gigs, the best industry to get in for videography is the wedding industry and even from that, no one is using drones only for it. You have to have DLSRs, lenses, a 2nd person to get you multiple angles, know how to edit, compress videos right, etc.

Not putting anyone down in getting into this stuff but I just don't know anyone that is willing to spend that much money for drone videos.
