So how exactly did lauryn hill fall off ? Her last album was Unplugged, which is almost a classic in its own right ...

But the biggest i would say .. Snoop, Rae, actually almost every artist has fallen off since their debut ...
 
Prodigy, hands down. DMX just went crazy.. the same with Em, personal @#%$. LL is like 67, he needs to give it a rest. I understand he has a passion for rapping but somethings must come to an end. Cam'ron, I dunno...

But P double E.. went from droppin gems to bird droppings.

Return of The Mac>The other artists' last albums

Eminem easily fell off the hardest because he had the longest drop. From SSLP to Encore and the garbage features he's been on recently. There is no coming back for this dude. He is finito. Everything after the 8 Mile Soundtrack has been terrible.

@#%$ what everyone says, Prodigy fell the @#%$ off. Of course the catalog is ALWAYS there, but his most recent joints have been straight doo-doo lyrically. Sure "Return of the Mack" was decent, but mostly due to the beats. Man, I've always been a huge Mobb Deep fan, and it's SAD to see how much dude has fell off. He needs to get back on that downin' brew with acid @#%$, cuz back then he was I-L-L.

I don't know how anyone can say he HASN'T fallen off.

DMX? Yeah, he fell way off. The hardcore fanbase is still there, but as far as content....nothing. Not to mention he can't pick a beat to save his life.

Em? Enh...I'd say no. I still think deep down, he could serve 99% of the industry if he REALLY got focused.

Cam? Was he ever on to fall off? I mean, I like Cam as much as the next man, but let's not confuse popularity with true skills.

And LL...I'd say dude just got old. The young ears that make up the majority of hip-hop consumers just aren't checking for him now.

Prodigy...Dude was killing it at one point. Then he just kept getting worse and worse till it seemed like he just spit all his verses acapella and then layered it on to the beat.

no one mentioned meth because he only fell off for a brief min with Tical 0: the prequel. that issh was garbage but he never lost his skill and he redeemed himself with 4:21 and on that new wu tang song his verse was just :wow:

Eminem. Principally because of the fact that he had the biggest career out of any of those cats...he would drop straight lyrical @#%$ that would please all of the real hip hop fanbase and still everyone else in America bought his records too. Now he's just fallen into obscurity. Even when 8 Mile dropped he had a dope buzz but now he's a pure cornball. He was already maladjusted before he was famous and with all the money and personal drama he's completely lost his hunger.
 
Hopefully DMX and Prodigy will keep goin hard on that comeback, but Em Cam and Uncle need to get to steppin - anyone can rhyme random words together; it takes talent to string a concept together.
