Not wanting to start a flame war here but the lower teams in La Liga get such a bad time from the refs. It used to be the same for Atleti when I used to often go to the Calderon, now they get the big boy calls

Oh that's very true, no argument there. Madrid and Barca get the majority of the calls and benefit of the doubt.

EPL no doubt have the most organized and objective structure and refs.

lmao... refs used to be scared of SAF and they were even more terrified at ol trafford.

Real Madrid must be proud of themselves scoring 10 goals on a legitimate contender and all.........

Alex Teixeira >>>>>>> Chicarito

Lol they not even the same type of player B. Teixeira is younger and an attacking midfielder playing in Ukraine. Chicharito is a goal scoring poacher. Not a great striker, but he gets into spots where if the ball is played he will have a chance on goal/tap ins.

Never understood the hype or hate for the dude. He's a little above average but not bad either. I might of missed out on the era where he might of been shoved down peoples throats but even my Mexican friends were real about him before I got into footy.

So some exciting and Breaking News for us in this thread from Method Man.... :pimp: :pimp: :pimp:

Methodical Management

As neither user has received a warning since then, and the thread itself has fared significantly better than the NFL or NBA season threads in recent months, I've reinstated both users' access to the thread. This is considered a probationary reinstatement, as any further violations would result in their immediate removal. If you want to ensure their continued participation, advise them to be on their best behavior.

It's certainly a risk, but you've done a fine job managing the thread and I'm more inclined to take that risk given that you're invested in its success.

So Footy Fam, lets welcome back @TomDiginson and @B Fresco to this thread and thank @Methodical Management for making it happen....

Please be on your best behavior tho!!

Oh and - Footy Thread > Any Other Sports thread  :pimp:

Some people literally can't keep chicarito's nuts off of their mouth.

Comparing him to players that have different play styles.

Can't let the dude shine.

I recognize he's overrated by chicano's and stuff but yo, it seems he can't do any good.

>he only scores against low teams

son has scored on mid to top table opposition in the bundesliga.

Like what more do you want from the guy

Pretttyboy whats the word in Manchester, they sacking LVG today?

Mixed things at the moment. Some are saying that the club and Jose have been speaking and just need the Glazers to pull the trigger before that actually happens. Others seem to think he will stay until after the Stoke game. Put it this way, if he isn't gone today he will get until after the Chelsea game most likely.

So its sounding like Chelsea is planning on bringing in Drogba as Hiddink's assistant.

Smart move Roman. Stock up on guys with goodwill at Chelsea to downplay Mou's sacking.

People love Hiddink and Drogba from their prior stints and most importantly, the players do.

I've been doing my fair share of reading on the matter.

And it's looking a bit all over the place. Like you said, very mixed. I've even seen some reports that he's going, Giggs will take over temporarily until Mou can come in. I'm seeing mostly reports from suspect sources, but one or two names that I'm reading definitely have me thinking there's some legitimacy in these stories.
