He served a great purpose and was beyond magical at times especialy his 2013-14 season but his prime is over and his weird antics off the pitch a long with lackadaisical play warrants a departure from the club. Was one of my favorite players in the world when he wanted to play with passion. Hope he finds success elsewhere but its time we moved on without him.

Every club comes with its baggage:

Man City is an oil club
Chelsea is a Russian mob club
Liverpool has never won the Prem
Arsenal has never won the CL
Man Utd can't win without SAF

Just root for whoever you want to root for and ignore the noise. Last I checked, the vast majority of us aren't even English
On point. Just like you guys who became Arsenal fans after Henry, Ljungberg, Campbell, and the Invincibles or Man U fans during the days of Beckham, CR7, Rooney, Tevez or the Chelsea fans with Drogba, and Lampard.

What's so different about City having fans when they started doing well? Plastic fans who jump from team to team happen to all the big clubs, screw them. Before City got the likes of Robinho, Adebayor and Tevez I had no interests in the sport at all. I never got into the sport before 2010 and when I became a City fan I have rooted them on ever since.

I know plenty of dudes who root for Man U, Real Madrid, Barcelona, Arsenal who are tools and know plenty of other people who root for the same teams with passion. City fans arent any different, y'all just can't accept the fact that Pep chose us :pimp:

I genuinely believe that the reason why many Citeh fans pick up flack is that similar to Chelsea, a sugar daddy had to come and save the club. And fans of other clubs always look down upon outrageous "sponsorship" deals with brothers/cousins to basically buy success.

The likes of Arsenal, United, Spurs, Liverpool etc have been around and built their club and success over time and worked hard to get their revenues to where they are.

Fans of clubs like Citeh and Chelsea are often looked at as the same way their club is looked at....purchased.

It makes it even worse for a club like Citeh when some people are talking like it's a big club, when they can't even fill up their own stadium on a CL night.

It's just part of the game really...just like homie above said.

I know thats the case people will look at our club as "purchased" and not have "earned" our success as some would say but at the same time in 1910 (different time period I know but I think the point still stands) Arsenal was about to go bankrupt and where purchased by business man as well and they helped build Arsenal to what they are now. Chelsea and City are just late to the game when it comes to businessman coming in and purchasing or rather investing in a club and building something for the future and I don't think anythings wrong with that.

Yaya will be missed and leave a huge hole to fill (pause). Would love to see that be Pogba. But Yaya alone this year has earned city points. All dude does was score big goals. And not to get too outlandish with praise but he is one of the few players in the EPL that can boss a game. His goal against watford and his penalty against norwich. When he wants to play he is still a top box-to-box midfielder in the world.

Pogba isn't going to city, he's Barcelona bound after Juventus... I was actually kind of hoping Pep would go to United but it's not surprising he took the easier job.. He will be there for 3 years and leave like he always does.

I'd rather root for a team with an owner who's willing to dump cash, than one who'd rather exploit the loyalty of a fan base for profits and shareholders

It's not as bad as people make it out to be. Yes in CL games they have had trouble seeling out but EPL games and cup games not so much. You can find a picture of any stadium of any club half empty at one point in time but the joke sticks with City

You've got to admit that "The Emptihad" has a perfect ring to it

It is kind of telling when a club can't even sell out big European cup ties against big clubs like Juve but I doubt they'll have trouble selling them out with Pep now though

I know, I'm just joking around with ya but I still don't understand why he wants to leave Bayern

That annual salary might have something to do with it...

Along with the "challenge" of a new country/league of course.

Escape scrutiny for lack of CL trophies

Let's be real for a minute

He had one job

Win CL cups

And he failed

This year is his last chance

I do agree that compared to other stadiums and fans, the Etihad isnt nearly as loud or boisterous. Not much i can do about that though, living in Chi City. If you could fill half that stadium with me and my clones it would be the loudest in history.

It is that bad. I watched a CL match a little while ago, and even the commentators were commenting that how on a CL Tuesday, is the stadium no where near full.

I don't remember the last time I saw Barca/United/Arsenal/Bayern on CL night with sections empty in their stadiums.

It can be that bad on champions league nights and hopefully that changes, I was trying to say as far as the premiership and other cup games goes attendance hasn't really been a problem

I believe it was he game against Roma where it was damn near half full.

Those CL must be expensive though
